Books and Fireworks

They entered the Village and find a giant Spa Resort and three of the five people of the group were confused about this when Cid says exhausted, "Don't tell me you didn't know that Wutai Village was a giant Resort after losing the war against Shinra."

"We didn't know," say Cloud and Tifa confused about that as Vincent was also confused but didn't show it on his face.

A Tour Guide sees them and asks, "You must be Yuffie's friends right?"

"Yes, do you know where to find them?" asks Tifa as the guide told them the way to Yuffie's house before Tifa thanks him.

Then they began to walk towards it while looking around finding Barret in a Yutaka as he tried to hide from them when he spotted them.

"Barret we can see you. We aren't blind," says Tifa as Barret was hiding behind a stall that was selling food.

"Just leave the fucker alone and bring me to the house so I can rest," says Cid as Nesiara laughed hearing that.

"Tifa how about we go and enjoy ourselves while the boys bring Cid to the house," says Nesiara as Tifa nods catching the hidden message in that sentence.

"Of course," says Tifa as both left to a clothes vendor leaving the boys alone to find their way to Yuffie's house.

"You know the way to Yuffie's house?" asks Cloud to Vincent who was too quiet right now since he wasn't listening to the conversation Tifa and the guide had before when Cloud says, "Thought so because I also don't know where is."

"You have to kid me right," says Cid when he pointed towards the front saying, "It's that way."

Cid was now guiding them while Nesiara and Tifa went to buy some Yutaka to blend in as Tifa was wearing a navy blue one while Nesiara had a crimson red one.

They walked through the streets when they find Aerith with Yui as they were in emerald green ones when Nesiara says, "You both look good in them."

Both, Aerith and Yui, turned around to see Tifa and Yui when Aerith hugs them while saying, "You are finally here."

"Why did you take so long?" asks Yui confused.

"Because of our newcomer. We needed to hold back on our tempo because of him," says Nesiara as Tifa nods feeling sorry for Cid because they all were already under training while he was most likely tortured by them just from walking for so long.

"Where are Cloud and Vincent?" asks Yui as Nesiara smiled from hearing that question.

"They are bringing Cid to Yuffie's house or at least that's what the guide told us," says Tifa as they were now grouped together and enjoyed their time.

In the meantime, Vincent and Cloud arrived at Yuffie's house where John was waiting for them when he sees both carrying Cid into the house while Nesiara and Tifa weren't with them.

"You made it before the fireworks began," says John as he was in a dark blue Yutaka because he wanted to relax a bit from being always in his everyday clothes.

"Fireworks?" asks Cloud as John nods.

"Yes," says John as he walked towards the window where he was sitting before and looks outside while saying, "They are for Yuffie's safe return. Everyone already has a Yutaka and I prepared five more for you all but it seems Nesiara and Tifa already left your group making it quite simple for you to choose between the five in question."

Vincent didn't really want to change into a Yutaka but he did so in the end. He was wearing one that resembled his clock in color while Cloud was wearing a black one. Did was the only one that didn't change since he was too exhausted.

Cloud was looking at John when John says, "She told you."

"What do you mean?" asks Cloud trying to hide what Nesiara told them on their way to the village.

"You don't need to hide it. She would have told me sooner or later when we are alone about what happened," says John as Cloud sighs because he couldn't keep the secret.

"Why are you really that hard on Zack?" asks Cloud as John sighs now.

"I want to show you a secret that will never happen to you as well as you, Vincent," says John as Cid was already sleeping quite deep beside them.

Justice appeared and all three disappeared and appeared in Paradise when Cloud and Vincent looked around seeing a landscape they never saw before.

"Where are we?" asks Vincent as they looked at the house in front of them.

"We are in Paradise. This is a pocket dimension that belonged to Logan before. In here are many secrets that even Gods want but can't take," says John as he walked towards the house while Vincent and Cloud followed him.

In the yard, a dog was sleeping soundly beside a cat with two tail when suddenly the dog wakes up and ran towards John. Cloud and Vincent looked confused when the dog suddenly smelled them before leaving again to sleep beside the cat.

"That is Ronnie. He is the Guardian of Paradise. Ronnie used to be Abigail's Mabari but Abigail didn't want to separate him from Matatabi. The cat beside him" says John as they entered the house with the two.

"How strong is he?" asks Cloud as John stopped and turned around.

"Only two people can defeat him and only one can control him. Logan and Jack can defeat him and only Abigail can control him. So never try to pick a fight with him. He can kill Gods easily," says John looking at both nervous as he turned around again.

He walked the hallway down while the others followed him. He opened a door and behind it was suddenly a giant Library. John entered and Justice appears when John says, "Can you bring me both books."

"Of course sir," says Justice as he floats away while John walked towards a table that had chairs around it.

They sit down when two books appeared on the table in front of John. He takes a glance at them before handing one to each of them. On the books was a different name and when they read the name they looked shocked.

"How?" asks Cloud hectic as he looked at John as well as Vincent did.

"How what?" asks John as he could answer all those How questions but he wanted to know which he had to answer.

"Why are our names on the book?" asks Vincent relatively calmer than Cloud.

"Those books represent a life in which we don't appear. That would have been your life normally. Just read a bit of it," says John as Vincent now understood why his book was bigger than Cloud's.

They began to read for a while as Cloud opened his eyes wide when he looks at John and says, "Zack died protecting me."

"He did, that's why I am suspicious of him," says John looking at Cloud before Cloud began to read again.

Vincent was relatively faster at reading it seemed as he went through the book quite fast when he asks, "Is that the reason why Nesiara said you wouldn't separate me?"

"That's right," says John as Vincent was done reading about his future in Dirge of Cerberus and beyond that.

"I can understand why you granted Lucrecia peace but why wouldn't you grant it to me?" asks Vincent as John smiled.

"People like us never get to rest," says John looking at Vincent when Cloud looked quite pale when John says, "Did you arrive at the passage where you helped Sephiroth."

"I didn't know that he could make me do things for him," says Cloud as Vincent looked at John now.

"What does he mean?" asks Vincent as he didn't know about the situation that Cloud was in.

"Cloud as the perfect clone of Hojo's experiment on Sephiroth is connected to Sephiroth. Sephiroth is strong enough to control anyone with Jenova-Cells if that person went through the same experiment," says John as Vincent began to puzzle altogether.

"And Zack was one of the experiments as well," says Vincent as John nods.

"That's right," says John when Vincent could now understand it more why John was so suspicious of Zack.

"But why are you not suspicious of Cloud?" asks Vincent when John smiles.

"Because I trained him against mind control helping him erect a wall against Sephiroth but I can't do that for Zack as well since Sephiroth could be watching and find the weakness in that defense that Cloud created against him," says John as that was the reason he didn't help Zack.

"So you are keeping Zack with you to make sure that he doesn't do something against the group," says Vincent as John nods.

"That's right, we have a saying in my world. Keep your friends near you but your enemies even nearer," says John as both nod when John continues, "But you two should act around him like always or he will feel left out. I could be in the wrong after all."

"Understood," say Cloud and Vincent as the books disappear.

"Also everything written in the books isn't the complete truth but just a part of it since neither I nor my family appears in them," says John as he explained to them that the books only show the truth only if they were on a world that wasn't tampered with by the Godking and his Shadow.

"But we should return so you can watch the fireworks," says John as all three vanished and appeared back in Yuffie's house before John walked to the door while saying, "I will see you all tomorrow then."

John then left the house to meet with his wife while Cloud left to find Tifa. Vincent stayed near the house as he was laying down on the roof when the fireworks started to brighten the sky.
