"Goodness me!" Fern gasped again, hurrying over to Velma's side. She squatted till she was at ground level with Velma. "Are you hurt?"

"I feel lightheaded," Velma groaned, rolling over. She shifted to a seating position to be more comfortable and rubbed her shoulders.

"Did you know you could fly or you just experimented with it?"

"Experimented," Velma coughed, wiping her face. Then she used her fingers to detangle the moss caught up in them.

"Hmm," Fern said, helping Velma to stand up. "So you do have an energy base for flying even though you have no wings."

"I suppose I do," replied Velma, still wincing. The drop had been from far up and painful. She was quite surprised she had not broken a bone.

"What went wrong then?" Asked Fern. "Why did you fall."
