The Full Moon ceremony

Author's note: this is from Calista's point of view

I watched Sergio's back as he walked toward the flame and those two she-wolves who were greeting him with big smiles on their faces.

An angry flame burned in the pit of my stomach, urging me to get there and rip their eyes out for daring to look at Sergio in such a way, and then Serina obstructed my view.

When did she get this close?

She was also wearing a leather outfit, fitting well in the mass that filled the garden.

Serina's outfit provided more coverage than other she-wolves had, and when Serina was only two steps away from me, I could see that there was embroidery with silver thread. I guessed that was Mateo's doing. He always made sure that Serina was more special than any other.

Mateo's world revolved around Serina. Even now, he was craning his neck to keep an eye on her, and I wondered if his behavior would change if she wasn't his mate.
