Before making my move, I confirmed that Lazarus and Duke were in position.

Here we go.

I walked toward the center of where rogues were and with every step, I wondered what my father would do. He would probably be cool, like walking into his backyard, and then just feed on them. Aldus Mezzanotte is amazing like that.

My goal of coming here like I own the place was to distract the rogues so that Lazarus and Duke can do their thing with minimum risk. After all, the unexpected sighting of a frail woman will get their attention and they can be ambushed.

This will work. It has to. What's the worst that can happen?
