Jisoo Kim

Vincent's POV

A man must endeavour to look decent, that's what uncle said to me yesterday and asked me to cut my hair, but I refused. I grown pretty attached to my long hair and frankly didn't know what would I look like without it. Instead, I trudged into the bathroom and remove all my earrings that I had on after I got home. i washed my face with a facial cleanser and applied some moisturising cream. Lastly I smoothed out my messy hair with a comb and tied it in a pony tail before I hobbled down the stairs.

"How do I look?" I asked. Uncle Hoseok then starts stroking his chin the way he does when he's in deep thought, looking at me from head to toe.

"Good." He answered.

"What? I go all through this trouble for you, only for you to tell me I look good?"

"You were doing all of this just for me?" Uncle Hoseok asked, surprised.

"Yes, who do you think I was doing this for?" I answered as I went behind the counter and by the time I turned around, uncle was gone.

"Ugh! This sucks!" I muttered while looking at myself through the phone's front-facing camera trying not to vomit. I look bad! "I just hope that no one would recognized me with this look." Just as I was to cursed myself, my phone suddenly alerted me that I had a text message.

I'm good. How about you? It's been a long time since we last saw each other.

My thoughts have flown back to my childhood days as I read her text message. I was only three months old when my mother pass away from a car accident. Her death, was of course, a tragedy. I have spent a lot of time in my life coping with the loss of my mother but everything changed when Jisoo came.

I was seven years old when I met Jisoo at a children's park. I was alone on the swings after a group of kids had refused to play with me when she secretly went to me and pushed me.

"I'm sorry." She exclaimed and went to help me after I fell of the swing into the mud. I wasn't holding the swing's chain when she pushed me.

"What's wrong with you?" My entire face and the front of my clothing were covered in mud. What's worse is that I have no extra clothes for me to change in.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were holding onto the swing." She explained. I gave her one hard, mad look. I thought she'd cry but she hug me instead.

"Now were even."

"Who are you?" I asked. We only just met but it feels like we had know each other for a very long time.

"My name is Kim Jisoo." She took my hand in her to shake it and held it for a long moment. "How about you?"

"My name is V-" I was about to intoduced my self when Jisoo's mom came and took her home with her.
