23 Two Worlds, Three People

Opening his eyes, Art found himself in an endless space with white glowing ground and a beautiful night sky with blue and green lights similar to an aurora.

It felt so peaceful in here that even he was surprised.

“Wait! Did I die?” He muttered in confusion as he fell into contemplation. "But how?”

“Maybe I couldn't handle the mana pressure back there.” He looked around once more.

“Then is this heaven or something.”

“Heaven?” He heard the voice of a little girl which from behind and he turned back immediately. His gaze fell on not one but two girls. Both of them were the cutest thing he had ever seen. They seemed to be twelve years old and looked alike in all aspects except for their hair and eye colour.

One of them had blue hair which was worn in long bunches stretching below her knee with snow-white skin and blue sparkly eyes which were filled with curiosity while scanning every inch of his body.

The other had the exact same features and expression, only that her hair and eye colour was green instead.

“Huh? Are you guys angels?” He asked uncertain of his words as he didn't expect them to look like this.

“Angels?” They both voiced in unison. Even their voices were similar.

Art seeing their confusion remembered what Lord Gajeel had said about being taken to a parallel world if the true weapon’s self-consciousness was strong, realizing how silly he had been.

“That’s not bad,” the blue-haired girl uttered.

“Yeah, you can call us that,” the green-haired girl added.

“You guys are true weapons?” he asked but they seemed unsatisfied.

“Don’t give us too many names,” the blue-haired girl pouted. "But we've been called that before so, I guess so,” the other shrugged.

Looking at them, he concluded that they should be the two dim glowing orbs that merged and entered him.

He didn't know if it would hurt them but he went straight to the point.

“Both of your glows back there were weak, so I want to know if you're actually weak or not.”

They stared at him before chuckling loudly. They seemed to have found his question amusing.

“Hahaha, I like him,” the blue-haired girl chuckled.

“Yeah right. That's why I chose him.”

“No, it was me.”

“It was me.”

"You're wrong it was me.”

“What do you mean, I was the one.”

Just like that, they had fallen into an argument. This reminded him of his sister in his former life. Both of them had many baseless arguments similar to this.

After watching them for some time, Art cleared his throat bringing their attention back to him.

“Soooo?”

“You’ll have to find that out…..”

“By yourself.”

They both giggled which suddenly changed into seriousness as they inched closer to him.

The blue-haired girl was the first to speak up.

“There’s something within you that's powerful enough to restrict our abilities and influence over you.”

"To think that we would end up in the body of someone with something like that is really…” the green hair girl added.

“Exciting!!” They both exclaimed.

Art just kept staring at them. Wasn't this supposed to be a test?

As if reading his thoughts, the green-haired girl voiced out. "There's no need for that. You're already worthy. But you won't be able to use our abilities until the restriction put on us is removed. So, you have to show us a nice time when that happens.”

"I guess so,” he replied not sure of what she meant by nice time.

“We only have one demand,” the blue-haired girl raised her index finger.

‘Well nothing is for free I guess,’ he sighed internally before speaking out.

“I'm listening.”

They looked at each other before looking back at him.

“You have to reunite us with our sister.”

“Sister?” He noticed the hint of sadness in their eyes.

“Yes, we got separated years ago and we want to be together with her,” the blue-haired girl muttered.

“So would you accept?”

Art gave it some thought. It was only looking for someone right? Not as though they gave him a time frame to complete the task. How hard could it get?

“I accept.”

With stars in their eyes, they ran toward him with big smiles on their faces before hugging him.

Art was caught off guard by this so he ended up falling to the ground with both of them on top of him.

“We knew we could count on you,” the blue-haired girl voiced out joyfully.

“We also loved the words you shared with us back then.”

‘Wait, they heard that?’ his eyes widened.

“We would love to chat with you more but time is up,” the green-haired girl said dejectedly.

“Yeah, that brat also has to talk to you. He should be grateful we have the same master,” the blue-haired girl pouted.

“Brat? He?” Art glanced at both of them in confusion.

“You’ll be meeting him soon. Make sure you visit us later. We’ll be waiting,” they said waving as his vision of this place and the two cute girls got blurry before falling unconscious.

********************

His eyes opened once more to a yet unfamiliar world. This one was different from the first with the sky being cloudy.

He looked around seeing that this world was in constant motion. By that, he meant that the land of this world kept changing position and shape. It was irregular.

The spot he was standing on would sometimes sink below the normal level along with some areas, while others would either remain the same or rise higher. Sometimes even shifting sideways.

Some particles even hovered mid-air, coming together sometimes and continuously changing their shape.

He sighted a figure which backed him sitting on a rock which was the only thing not moving.

The distance between both them was just 200 meters but due to all the ups and downs, it took him over thirty minutes from his perspective, to get to the rock and it turned out to be a 14-year-old boy with black spiky hair.

Before he could say anything, the boy voiced out.

“Have a seat.”

Art stared at him for some time before walking and seating beside him.

From here he could see a better and wider view of the place. They both kept staring at the ever-changing view.

“Do you think this is beautiful?” He asked with a neutral expression.

Art stared longer in silence before saying, “Not beautiful, it’s wonderful.”

The boy shifted his ash eyes to Art before looking forward.

“Why do you say so?”

“This world has something unique which is very important in a world. Liveliness.”

The boy’s expression changed slightly.

“Even if a world has beautiful sceneries like flowers, grasses and the clear sky, if the world is still without liveliness, it’s no different from being dead. Although this world still lacks what truly makes a world lively which is the people in it it’s still a good place.”

“I see,” the boy smiled slightly. “So do you intend on making me see the true liveliness of a world?”

“I see no problem there,” Art shrugged.

“If so, then I’m willing to become your true weapon. So show me all that you can.”

“With pleasure,” Art nodded in satisfaction before a slight frown appeared on his face.

“I thought a person can only have one true weapon. How am I getting more than that?”

The boy chuckled before answering.

“Well, you can say that you’re special. We true weapons contain the mana core of our masters and we are really possessive which is why two weapons can’t enter the same person. But you somehow have two mana cores. So there are two rooms for two true weapons. I believe you have spoken with those imps.”

“You mean those two little girls?”

“Yes.”

“Wait, true weapons know each other?” He was visibly confused by this.

“Not really, but you can say that when it comes to me and them. And oh! You won’t be able to use me since you’re mana core isn’t completely developed.”

After hearing this, Art concluded that the girl contained his main mana core which was locked and that was why they said they were restricted and this boy occupied the auxiliary.

Why don’t things always go well for him? He was excited about getting two or maybe even three true weapons as he wasn't sure how the girl worked, only to find out that he can use none.

This was all his system's fault. He wondered how long it would take before his auxiliary core gets completely formed.

“You have to go now, I’ll be seeing you soon.”

Just like before, his vision started getting blurry before losing consciousness.
