Chapter 22
The news of Han Bing saving Ning Ning from a gangster spread like wildfire among the students. On the other hand, Bai Rong Rong's betrayal and cold heartedness also spread along with the news.
Ning Ning and Han Bing reported to the teacher as soon as they got back to the hotel. Ning Ning then gathered all her best friends and exaggeratedly told the story. Knowing these gossipers, Ning Ning knew it would be before long Bai Rong Rong's reputation would crash. Bai Rong Rong, this is the least of what you owe me!
Han Bing took a long hot bath before she asked the servers to help her out of the bath. This day was too tiresome for her. Han Bing closed her eyes as the servers helped her into a robe. "What drinks do you have here?"
"Ms. Han Bing, our most popular drinks are wine, champagne, and whiskey. We also have non-alcoholic drinks."
"Get me a glass of wine."
The servers looked at each other. This girl is their VIP guest, but giving underage alcohol is a bit...
"Don't worry. I just need some to increase my temperature." Han Bing knew that she still had one more year until her legal drinking age, but right now she is too tired to care about this matter.
One of the servers came in and handed over the glass of wine. "Thank you. You guys can go now. I can handle the rest."
Han Bing took a sip of the wine and her eyes lit up. This flavor is amazing. Sweet, sour, and a hint of bitterness. The only regret is that it's not strong enough.
The door was slammed open. Qin Shi Ran rushed in and grabbed Han Bing's hand from behind. "Han Bing! Are you hurt anywhere?"
The wine spilled onto Han Bing's robe creating a flower pattern. Because of Qin Shi Ran tugging onto Han Bing's hand, the robe was let loose. Han Bing's peachy breasts became half exposed and half covered.
Qin Shi Ran became stunned when he saw this view. Han Bing irritatedly pulled back her hand. "You're too impulsive most of the time. I'm fine."
Qin Shi Ran forced himself to look away from her body. "I heard that you were injured"
Han Bing chuckled. "When have I ever lost before?"
Qin Shi Ran wanted to say something but Han Bing cut him off. "Do you want to move into this room? I have a big room over here."
Qin Shi Ran was shocked. Does she mean…? But looking at Han Bing's calm face, Qin Shi Ran knew that he overthinked it. "No, the teacher won't allow room change."
Han Bing nodded her head. "Sorry, I didn't think this through."
"Then, I will go back to my own room now." Qin Shi Ran scurried back to his room and shut the bathroom door. Qin Shi Ran's roommates confusingly looked at the bathroom door.
"What's wrong with him?"
"Don't know. Probably ate something bad. Ay. Ay. It's your turn!" the guy who first talked put down his card. "Bomb!"
Qin Shi Ran took a long cold shower in the bathroom. He tried to suppress the fire on his lower half. He thought about all the changes he made until now. Maybe it was his fate to be able to meet Han Bing. If he hadn't met her, Qin Shi Ran knew how his life would turn out. Wasting his family's money like water, corrupting his family business, and in the end, he will be marrying Bai Rong Rong. Not Han Bing.
Qin Shi Ran thought of Han Bing in the robes again. He felt his little brother perking back up. Haaa. Qin Shi Ran wanted to cry and laugh at the same time.
The next few days passed by smoothly. Han Bing toured around the popular places of France including the hidden black market. Han Bing ended up finding the spot through a local beggar. Of course she had to pay money for the information.
Everything is fine except for how closely Qin Shi Ran was sticking to her. Ever since the Ning Ning incident, Qin Shi Ran stuck to Han Bing as soon as he found her. Han Bing could only give a helpless face when she is lectured by Qin Shi Ran to not leave too far from him. Why does it feel like he's becoming her mother?
"Did everyone recheck their bag? Make sure you have everything with you." The homeroom teacher shouted in front of the organized line of students.
"Yes. Instructor Gao"
The flight back to the district was extremely fast. In order to not waste any more school time, the principal purchased expedited airplane tickets. On their walk back to school, the homeroom teacher raised his hand to signal for a rest.
"Han Bing, is it okay if we talk privately?" Bai Rong Rong walked up to Han Bing as she was drinking water. The bullying case plus the purposeful kick on Qin Shi Ran's leg, Han Bing knew that Bai Rong Rong is a black lotus. She's probably planning a trap for her, but Han Bing wants to see what tactics Bai Rong Rong has in her sleeves. Han Bing secretly opened the camera on her phone.
"Sure"
Bai Rong Rong had a malicious glint that flashed across her eye. The glint was captured by Han Bing and some classmates besides her. They looked at Han Bing worriedly.
Ning Ning who was observing Bai Rong Rong the whole time came up to convince Han Bing not to go. "Han Bing wait, Bai Rong Rong is not a good person. This might be a deception for her to ruin your reputation." Ning Ning, who turned a blind eye to Bai Rong Rong's actions before, felt some of the girls who dropped out of school after contacting Bai Rong Rong could have been threatened or deceived. All of these girls have good relationships with Qin Shi Ran, so Ning Ning thought that it might have been the fan groups that pressured them. However, after carefully contemplating, Ning Ning remembered seeing some of them talking to Bai Rong Rong.
Han Bing gave her a reassuring smile "It's fine." Han Bing never thought negatively of Ning Ning. She sincerely felt that Ning Ning is cute and caring. In addition, Ning Ning never did anything out of line despite Bai Rong Rong's influence on her.
Han Bing rolled her chair to Bai Rong Rong. Bai Rong Rong chose a spot near the pond. The distance is near enough so that everyone can see them, but also far enough that they can't hear their conversation.
"Han Bing, you don't have to pretend anymore. I know you like Qin Shi Ran. Who doesn't like him? No matter if it's looks, status, or wealth, he is the best candidate out of all the students in this school. I studied hard for this school just so I can find the perfect husband candidate to raise me for the rest of my life." Bai Rong Rong had a deranged look while talking to Han Bing.
"Qin Shi Ran is only my tutoring student. I don't have any extra feelings for him." Han Bing furrows her eyebrow. She doesn't like Bai Rong Rong's way of thinking. A woman doesn't need to rely on a man to survive, but Han Bing decided to not pick on other people's ideology. Everyone has their own belief and it's not her right to change other people's mind to think her way.
"Stop lying! The whole reason why you even became his tutor is to get closer to him, but it's too bad. After today, you won't have any more chances to see him. Do you know the ten girls from our school that dropped out? You will also get to personally taste the scornful eyes, condescension and hate!"
