I walked out of the store heading straight home to take a bath, I was lying on wet grass for quite some time and then got drenched, a bath was a must.

I opened the front door and without a minute wasted, headed up to the first floor, my room. Even if I had nobody to take care of, I should treat myself a little sometimes. All this training was squeezing the life out of me and my skin too. I opened the bathroom door after removing my shoes and socks. The floor was cold but it didn't affect me too much, I removed my clothes and stood in front of the mirror, all of my skincare products were lying on the counter, untouched since the past month.

It was safe to say I had changed quite a bit. My once pale skin had incurred a little more melanin, there were light bruises over my wrists, knife marks on my waist on the left side and on my right arm, just above the elbow. The skin of my palms had fallen victim to the guns I had been holding recently. Even after all of these marks and the one tattoo I had on my left wrist, my body was pretty much a blank canvas.

The tattoo was a little picture of two hands doing the pinky promise, I got it done as a matching tattoo with Noah even before we two had became a couple. He never broke any of his promises, I smiled like an idiot for a few seconds, shook my head and entered the shower.

I could use a few more tattoos here and there.

I was sitting at the window of my room, looking up at the sky with a cup of hot chocolate in my hand. The slight drizzles too had stopped now and a little sunshine was peeking through the remaining clouds.

And then it came, the rainbow, beautiful as always, again a mixture of two contradicting emotions. The rain and sunshine. Tears and smiles. Pain and happiness. Like the sky and clouds together, like love. All the seven colours fitting perfectly beautifully together. Was it even possible for seven things so different to blend in together and still stand out?

I hadn't realised the smile in my eyes till my phone started ringing. What time was it, again?

I quickly glanced at the clock in my room, it was 5:30. I could guess who was calling.

"Hey."

"Hi, hot chocolate," No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to stop myself from smiling.

"What is it with you and your little nicknames? Last time you called me cotton candy," He said at the end, relief in his voice after hearing mine.

"Why, don't you like them?" I asked biting my lower lip whiile smiling at the same time.

"Just call me Noah, keep the beautiful nicknames for yourself little one."

"Okay, what's up? Is your cat screaming your name again? Or have you found another excuse?"

"Actually, Jullie came by, I'm sure you know what for, I just needed somebody to talk to."

"Oh I see. 'll be there in an hour or so, I'll bring food with me, okay?"

"I love you," he almost whispered from the other side.

"I know you do," I said trying to cut it short.

"Sure you do, not all guys are committed enough to call you every day at 5:30 both in the morning and evening, lil one."

It had been hard enough to let him go. Why did he have to say this now?

I need you but I'm gonna have to let you go in order to save you from yourself.

We can't stay in this house made of cards anymore.

These damn boots.

I had been struggling for the past 10 mins because of them since I might have tried to dress up a little. No, not at all to impress Noah, for myself only. The boots I was wearing felt a little tight since I hadn't tried dressing up for days and the black top I was wearing over shorts was a little tight over my newly built arms' and forearms' muscles.

I needed new clothes. Other than these, all I had were pretty dresses and heels. I didn't think I'll be needing them anytime soon.

I somehow managed to walk halfway over to Noah's house and found a shop. He liked to drink with his food so I quickly bought him a few cans of beer. Just when I thought I could quickly run the rest of the way over to his house, I dropped the beer can and it tumbled down the same way I came from.

Hmph. I rolled my eyes and then rushed after it to catch it.

Before the can was able to come to a halt, I caught it and turn just in time to witness one of those infamous bullying scenes except this wasn't bullying this was a fight, and one team out of them was outnumbered. The smaller group looked like a couple of young boys, around my age?

They seemed like normal people, what could possibly go wrong because of a little help? Guess it was time to act heroic. Cheer up boys here comes your saviour.

I sighed and put the containers of food along with the beer on the pavement and cracked my neck. Again, Why did I have to dress up? Luckily enough I had a hair tie. I watched them carefully while tying up my hair into a ponytail. It was a two against five. I didn't see any weapons yet, so maybe hand to hand combat was gonna suffice.

"Ahem," I cleared my throat to catch their attention and guess what, it worked.

"Beatrice? Is that you?" One of the figures I could vaguely make out from here said. Does he know me?

"Yeah, I'm trynna save your asses here now tell me to what do you owe this pleasure of getting your noses broken ?"

"YOU'RE gonna save us?"

Renoir? Oh, that was why he knew my name. While I was frowning and squinting to look at him, one of the five against them with free hands swung at me. Oh. Being impatient he was. I quickly caught his arm and tried to land a punch but I couldn't. Because. Of. Those. Fucking. Sleeves.

So instead, I threw a kick at his head trudging him down in a second.

"Look, a UFO." I said to the other one and he looked up for a second which was enough to make me kick him where the sun doesn't shine. Two of them were holding Renoir and another boy who's face wasn't really visible but my guess was that he was Renoir's friend.

One more to go.

"Wohoo!" Renoir yelled. Was he generally that loud?

I turned around scan the area and looked back at the can of beer. I clasped my lower lip under my teeth and picked it up, throwing it right at his face. His face contorted because of the cold container and the fact that it hit right in his nose. That was my chance.

I took the knife out of my shorts' back pocket and moved it towards the sleeve of my top.

"W-what are you doing, Beatrice?" Renoir hissed and I saw him struggling to move out of the man's grasp. I cut off one sleeve and then the other one too quickly and ducked just in time to avoid a knife coming right at my neck. As soon as my arms were free of the sleeves, I rolled my shoulders and aimed for face punches.

"Save it, asshat." I mumbled and punched him repeatedly over the eye and nose. He scowled in pain and fell back.

The second one was quick to aim a knife at me and so I did the same and as he closed up to me I quickly thought of all possible outcomes.

1. I stab him and win.

2. I kick his knife and combat him, one-on-one and win.

I didn't want blood on my only nice shorts so I kicked his knife and finally the boots came in handy. He blanked out for a fraction of a second but quickly recovered and fought back. That was when Renoir came, he kicked him from behind and I took advantage to knock him out.

When things stopped, there were two weak, three unconscious man left and one, Renoir's friend.

"Nice backup, Trevor. We'll leave now. Can't have our asses kicked by a lady so beautiful. You're meant for flowers princess, not knives." the man said and I swear I would've punched the fuck out of him if I was alone.

"Thanks, and don't fucking call me princess."

He smirked but left with his hands up in surrender, dumping the other guy on the floor.

As I turn to Reno- Trevor to ask him what this was about, my phone rung.

Noah. Oh shit. I ran towards it and answered the call.

"I'm so sorry my rainbow, my cotton candy, my little ketchup packet and other calorie-filled things I love , I'll be right there with you. I got caught up. Yeah, be there in 10." I sighed and cut the call.

"You know, your duality has left me quite shocked."
