5 The Island

We all go to a private bar and everyone orders a drink but me, Nate, and Xavier. I take a sup of water in a margarita glass. Nate ordered a coconut. I keep looking down at my drink while being in between Mina and Nate. Awesome...

Nate

I can see Brooklyn being a bit weird as we get into the hotel. We are on the second to last floor that holds only two suites. Before getting into my room, I turn and turn Brooklyn around to face me. "Why are you upset with me? You've barely talked to me since the plane ride." I confront her. "Look, Nate, can we please talk tomorrow... I'm pretty exhausted right now." Before I get into my room i kiss her. She pulls back. "I'll talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight, Nate..." She says. That kiss made me feel...

Different.

Brooklyn

I enter my dorm and it's very big. Maybe almost the size of a penthouse. When Nate kissed me I had major butterflies in my stomach. My first kiss to ever come, with a criminal. I have a late night phone call with Nate like we used to and we watch a movie.

Nate

It's the next day and we all hang out in one dorm before swimming. Alice and Zayne has to go back home due to ones family emergency. "Hey, Nate, can I talk to you?" Brooklyn asks. "Sure." I say. She leads me to the balcony and leans on the balcony. "You look, um... Nice today." I try to not talk about it. "Yea, that's not what I came here to talk about..." She says.

"I know... You only want to be friends. You don't have to tell me twice..." I look to the ground.

"Actually, Nate... That's the exact opposite of what I want." She takes my hand. Whenever I'm with her all I see is the good in me. She always makes me feel like I'm not what I used to be. Ever since I started talking to Brooklyn, I stopped dealing. That's why she deserves someone way better. "I want to be with you, Nate. I probably have since we met." She says. "Why would you want to be with a criminal like me? Just a nobody, ceased to exist." I say.

"Why, cause you're the bad boy and I'm the good girl? Nate, you're more than that. And if you can trust and believe in me, we can make this work." She stares in my eyes. It's hard not to break contact.

"How about this," I take the other hand. "Brooklyn Navarro, will you make a commitment to me as I do to you, and be my girlfriend?" I ask.

"I'd love to" She smiles, and I go in for a kiss, as she wraps her arms around my neck. "I'm gonna go swimming now," she says, making her way to the closet.

Xavier

I step out of the pool and run my hand through my very not-hot, blonde hair. The heavy smell of chlorine in the indoor pool, which is extremely big. I have changed ALOT since the party. I took off my mask, glasses, fixed my hair and got new clothes. I sit down on a chair next to Mina. "Why the sudden change, Xavier?" Mina asks.

"I like it better this way, why? Is there a problem?" I ask in my usual: why are you asking? Tone. "No, just—Never mind..." she says.

Mina

Xavier and I get out of the pool after a while and walk towards Nate and Brooklyn sitting next to each other. Brooklyn yawns and stretches. She seems exhausted. "We're gonna go back to the room now." I say. "Wait up, I'll come too." Brooklyn says. "Awh, why?" Nate ask, lifting hisself up to sit straight. "It's already 6:00, plus, we have a whole week, Nate." Nate smirks and gets up, then Xavier and I exchange looks. We trail after them on our way to the room. Each of us takes a shower and we all settle down. Nate decides to walk around shirtless. God... His abs blind me from everything else. "Looking at something?" Xavier asks. "N-No..." I reply, sitting on the counter. I rest my elbows on the counter and lay my head on my hands, staring at Nate. Sadly, My period had to start before I showered and I usually get bloated... Brooklyn passes by and runs a hand through his naked back. I kinda wish that was me right now. Tonight we have to sleep in one suite cause these richer people booted us, and it was against Alice's fathers policy. "Nate, you might wanna out a shirt on cause some girls might want a piece of that." Xavier calls me out. I hit him on the shoulder and he laughs. "We're inside though..." Nate mentions. "Whatever man." Xavier lies on the other bed. We all have to share two beds, so Nate and Brooklyn are in one, and that left me with Xavier. We turn off the lights and go to sleep.

Brooklyn

I'm usually not the type to get this jealous, but Nate is the first boyfriend I've had. My first everything, almost. I wake up and make pancakes. Mina wakes up and goes to the kitchen. "Ah, you're awake! Pancake?" I offer. "This one looks kinda burnt..." She smiles. "I'm sure you can scrape it off." I give her a fake smile. As she turns around I give her a stare. I go over to Nate and wake him up. "Wake up, Nate." I run my hand through his hair. He stretches and yawns. "Good morning" He says with a smile. "Oh, you're awake." Mina says to Xavier. "NAH, I'm sleeping." He says sarcastically. Pretty harsh... "Ok, I'm just saying." She says. "I just don't like that you're always in my business." Xavier says. "I'm gonna brush my teeth." I say, getting up and to the kitchen.

Mina

I take it as a chance to try and go for Nate. I rush over to the seat next to him. "Hey Nate!" I greet with a smile. "Sup, Mina" He says. "How's it going?" I ask. "Good. Thanks for asking." He seems a bit confused, but is going along with it.

Nate

I don't know what's going on with Brooklyn, but I'm into it. Never knew she had much of a dark side. Not really a dark side but a... Naughty girl side I guess. Brooklyn comes out of the bathroom and pauses to look at Mina. After a split millisecond she walks over to me and sits on my lap. Again, I don't know what this is, but it's kinda hot. "Oh, so... Are you two a thing now?" Mina asks. "Uhm, yea, actually." Brooklyn replies with a smile. Thats my girl.

"Aw! Congrats you two!"

Brooklyn and I thank her. We turn our head to each other and kiss. There goes the Vanilla scent, as always. Mina stands up and starts talking to Xavier. "Hey... Nate?" Brooklyn says.

"Yea?"

"Can we go home now??" She looks to her lap, playing with her nails.

"Why do soon?" I lean forward to see her face a bit more.

"I just don't feel this Vacation right now." She says.

Alice

I have a call with Brooklyn as she's packing. "So you think Mina wants to steal your man?" I ask. "Yes, well... Maybe." She replies. "Brook! You shouldn't be such a doormat. Stand up for what's yours. Show her that he's YOURS. And no one else's." I say, STILL not knowing who the guy is. "Now can you tell me who it was?" I ask. There was a chain of invitations from what Zayne told me, so there's many possibilities. "It may or may not be Nate Miller." She says quietly. I squeal for her. "Oh my god, that's some news." I say, pretty happy for her. Ever since Nate and Zayne went to a different middle school, that's when Brooklyn and I first met. We have been great friends for more than 2 years I think. I always want the best for her.
