The red moon's light coruscated on voluptuous curves of a lady that was standing at ease on a cold brick pavement.

In a certain corner of the streets in the land of Villesberg, A great agricultural land located east, was a scene that repeated in a daily basis for the lady who was now looking down at a male figure laying lifeless on a pool of his own blood.

Lady Ruviena Vandarkstein has just completed her mission in taking down a rogue vampire. The silver huntress of the East.

Silver were the strands on her small head that flowed majestically downwards the lady's plump buttocks, her ice blue eyes leered coldly at her "assignment".

Her pet crow—- Noir, had just landed atop a post lantern nearest to the huntress. It cawed once, and without looking at her beloved pet, she replied with gentle yet authoritative voice "Report the finished mission to the headquarters and that I'll not patrol for the night" She finished as a chilling mist puffed out her supple lips

In the dead of night, she had worn her hunter apparel. Off white dress shirt that she would fold up to her elbow, her generously sized chest strapped with leather knife sheath whose knives rested right under her breast. Her sword sheath's belt hugged her fitting dark hickory colored pants with a thigh knife scabbard attached and high heeled black huntsman boots. And lastly, Long black leather coat with the hunter's crest on its back embroidered with silver strings hung fit on the lady's torso which didn't deform her figure.

A minute later after the crow flew away back to her HQ with her report, the vampire's body had gradually disintegrated to a lump of sand.

She flicked the blood off her slim silver sword before sheathing it back to it's scabbard. Ruviena was not like other hunters that would sometimes torment their targets out of hate and obviously most hunters became hunters because of their rage towards the vampire kind.

No, Ruviena will observe, hunt and slay in a swift manner. Being a Huntress was a Job, not a hobby. It was something she chose to do after she was kicked out of the Vandarkstein household at the age of 18.

-

Her Biological mother, Lady Anne Rosevee Vandarkstein was also a silver headed huntress. Who sadly passed away when Ruviena was 12, a mission she failed to complete and lost her life. At the same year her idiot of a father, Guille Vandarkstein, had introduced his Mistress and now current wife, Mellisa Vandarkstein, with her new found half siblings, a year older than her male named Tom and a year younger than her named Angie who did no effort to hide their distaste towards the strong headed Ruviena.

The only true family Ruviena will ever love was her mother and her fraternal twin sister Reilyn, who had the same eye and hair color as Ruviena. Fragile as a flower was her sister's condition, and was always over protective of her especially when her half siblings tend to torment them with their father turning a blind eye.

Apparently she already knew her father was an insecure man towards his strong former wife whom he never loved and was forced to marry her by decree of the Lord of the East. Hence the infidelity, but her mother had grown to co exist with him especially when she had Ruviena and Reilyn who always melted her heart

Ever since her father remarried, Ruviena was downgraded into a family maid for 6 years and Reilyn was a spare for Angie, her father intended to marry Reilyn off to whoever so long as it benefits him. Ruviena would be pushed to do laundry, cooking, cleaning and including cleaning the horse's pen. Reilyn on the other hand was strictly raised to be a lady, a lifeless beautiful doll.

Although in their secret time, Reilyn would teach Ruviena everything she studied even though Ruviena didn't see how it would help her seeing as she was now a slave to her own family. Yet the time with her sister was precious so she submitted to her whims

One day she had noticed Reilyn would be uneasy when Tom, her half brother was around.

When picking up the family's laundry room after room, she caught Tom sexually harassing her sister! Reilyn had her back face towards Tom as he held her around the waist. Meanwhile Tom's other hand had visibly gone up her skirt exposing Reilyn's pale thighs. Reilyn's expression of disgust and discomfort triggered Ruviena who had seen everything from the door that was left ajar. This caused Ruviena to resort to violence.

"You perverted segment of shit!" She screamed.

Smashing an expensive vase on his head and used one of the laundry clothes to strangle him till he was half dead.

She didn't know where her strength came from but she guessed it was more on her mother's genes than her useless father who dragged her out of the house pulling her by the hair and threw her on the streets. That was after the beating she received from her father that she earned a black eye for everyone in the streets to see.

Ruviena now at the age of 23, she made her way to a place she had been calling home for the past 4 years till now.

Dracar Household, A family known for its huntsman lineage. The Dracar where close to her late mother and found Ruviena out in the cold streets with dirty clothes, Her late mother's closest friend and partner in her line of work, Jackal Dracar was a kind man and took her in. Although he originally left her to his grandmother, a sweet well aged lady. He would visit for every weekend to spend time with his genuine friend's daughter and soon after became her mentor as she decided to become a huntress.

Her goal was to make a title for herself, honing her strength, protecting the land from preying and rogue vampires and possibly other dark dwellers. She had gained the land's respect and she had obtained the right to visit the Vandarkstein wether they like it or not to check on her twin sister every now and then. The other purpose was that vampire usually prey on the lands on the east, as it was the most hostile area towards vampires, she can't risk losing her sister.

Upon entering the door, the bell above chimed subtly. Her heels clicked on white marbled tiles as the sound resonated in the baroque  interior as she headed towards the living room. A frail yet gleeful voice greeted her

"You're early home tonight my child, what a surprise!" Grandmother Dracar was sweet as always, she was sitting on her favorite wooden rocking chair near the fireplace as she held a book.

"I needed a break" she smiled at the old lady as she approached and kissed her forehead in greeting

"Uncle Jackal will scold me for it thought, but you can help me with that won't you granny" she blinked at her innocently

"My child, those eyes don't work on me anymore seeing as you've grown... well... Steaming— as the youth call it these days" Grandmother Dracar jested

One eye on Ruviena's eyes twitched "Unless I was a steam engine train, No body says that Granny" she informed with a mixture of laughter.

She then side stepped towards the family portrait above the fire place. She pulled the candle sconces beside the portrait, unlocking a small weaponry after the large portrait flipped vertically till it revealed a number of daggers hung in its place in display.

Some spot where empty, that was where Ruviena disarmed herself and placed them on the emptly slots

"Your sister—-" Grandmother Dracar started "when will you bring her here?" She looked at Ruviena with concerned eyes

"Soon, I've been saving up to leave her coins for her needs here. I wouldn't want to trouble your family any more than I already have—"

"Nonsense child! Me and Jackal... the entire Dracar family are indebted to your mother. You do know she had saved my one and only son, it is only fit that we return the favor."

"But—-"

"Bring your sister here as soon as you get the opportunity, do not worry about the expenses."

Ruviena tightened her lips, her eyes cast down as she thought long and hard, deep in her heart she was happy that her mother left them people that would care for them. But Reilyn in fact was another mouth to feed once she takes her to this safe haven. She really didn't want to take more of the Dracar household kindness, that explains her savings

Grandmother Dracar sighed

"Alright, I will take whatever you can give me from your savings, but I will place it as Reilyn's money for miscellaneous, the rest are nothing for you to worry about. Food and shelter and water will always be free for the child of Anne Rosevee"

Ruviena beemed and quickly gave the old woman a kiss on the cheek

"You're the best granny"

"Yes yes, you and your stubbornness. Whoever you will be married to will probably eat his foot because of you" Grandmother Dracar shooed her away

She giggled like a little girl and turned on her heel to head towards the marble stairs leading to her bedroom "Well atleast he'd make me feel taller by then, I feel so loved" Her granny always did use odd figure of speeches, and she would always respond as if taking the words literally

"Where is he!? Find him! That hideous creature couldn't have gone far" An Eastern Hunter was yelling at the others who where with him in the boarder of their Land Villesberg. Holding a gun that was loaded with special silver bullets. The yelling and sound of running footprints on the brick bridge quickly faded away to darkness which made a Tall hooded figure sigh in relief and at the same time affliction. He was crouched down underneath the bridge, sitting on moss covered stones and a shallow muddy water.

He earned himself a bullet wound to the right side of his chest. In his normal state that would have been a flesh wound. But in his current state, he was at his weakest point since it was the night of the blood moon. The only night he wouldn't feed and starve till the night passes.

The stupid decision he made was working tonight, disguising himself as a passerby yet one of the patrolling hunters found him suspicious and lead him to this scenario.

"Fucking Hell..." He chuckled to himself in agony with his deep villainous voice. "This is one pathetic way to die..." He clutched his wound and soon felt colder than what he usually was, his eyes became too heavy to keep open and Darkness crept in.

In the dark sky, camouflaged the black bird soaring in stealth. It studied the perimeter over the bridge after it spotted the arguing folks. It's keen eyes focus on the shadow cast by the bricked bridge
