Enemy’s Kiss

"What do you mean 'there's something strange under the bridge'?" Ruviena scrunched her face at her pet Noir that was conveying the incident it saw regarding a hunter chasing down someone whom they missed at the boarder's bridge.

She just took a hot shower and was now in her sleeping robe, her hair was damped and her skin was moist. Hugging her figure was a light silk material night gown that lengths till her upper thigh. Her matching night shawl hanging on her shoulder. It was almost 11pm and she thought she gave the bird a message to deliver to the council that she'd be off of work early. Yet here it was giving her additional work. Did this bird brain forget who it's mistress is?

"Caw caw caw!" Hunters usually have creatures the call familiars. A familiar for them would be in a form of a fairy or an animal to assist them in line of work. It can sometimes be kept and treated as pets. These familiars can communicate to familiar masters .

"It is late, whoever it was it is not my concern" she turned away from her balcony where she had conversed with Noir

"Caw"

The information the crow had given her had her snap back in surprise to face towards it. Not a second later she merely grabbed her leather coat and wrapped it around her body after dropping her shawl.  Slipped on her boots and grabbed her sword that was leaning beside the wall near the balcony before she jumped out with ease.

"You are sure the hunter was Victor?" She ran through the cold streets as she followed the crow that was leading the way.

Victor Heinzwit was an awful excuse for a Vampire hunter. He was able to enter because of good backing within the Huntsmen community. He and his prejudice way of thinking was causing trouble for the fellow Hunters as he would use underhanded tricks to force vampires into mistakes so that he uses as a reason to execute them. He was also one to cause a massive casualty in town, also bribing civilian vampire haters to work for him.

With him in the picture, she needed to make sure that he cleaned traces of the mess he made at the same time grab evidence to kick his ass out of the Huntsman Society. Her uncle did say to keep an eye on Victor Heinzwit.

After a few more turns, her boots came to a halt, her breath puffing out cold mist. She was at one end of the bricked bridge as Noir landed on a bench near the side of the bridge end. Stepping down carefully and silently till her feet sank on shallow water. The hooded man Noir mentioned was there, leaning on his back and head lowered, his bloody hands visible.

Her eyebrows furrowed

"Damn you Victor, you just keep giving us trouble don't you" Ruviena muttered under her cold breath as she crouched down after studying in a safe distance that the hooded vampire was truly out-cold.

"Hey." She said, Her palm landed on top of the hooded man's head to push it back. Lifting his face, her eyes widened as a pair of red eyes shot open and glared towards her.

Half a second later her wrist where caught in a very tight grip as if it was about to be snapped like a twig. In response to sudden actions, her muscle memory automatically reacted as she also swiftly drew her sword that lined from the mans jaw toward his brow bone, pressing on his skin in warning

Noir on the other hand cawed in panic

"....." She took a good long look at the man. He was severely handsome. He wasn't as pale as ordinary vampires. He was slightly darker than her, his strong thick eyebrows where calm, sharp edges on his face and a perfect nose with fine thin lips. His blood red eyes glowing in the shadow they shared.

She recognized him immediately as this man was famous in the Vampire Hunter society.

"General Xerion Hellsworn" Ruviena identified with a monotonous tone. The vampire who lead a legion of his own kind from the underworld that almost conquered the entire human Race 400 years ago!

He was the one that surfaced their existence to the mortal world from the shadows and nightmares of men. But here he was, one step away from death.

"....If it isn't the silver child of the east. It's past your bed time" He said as he sarcastically let out a troubled sigh, as if there was another bug that landed in-front of his view and was itching to swat

Ruviena ignored his subtle insult as she pressed the special silver blade on his flesh till she cut his brow bone meat.

"General Hellsworn, if you would be so kind" She pointed out with her sapphire pupils by giving a quick glance at her wrist that she already felt bruising in his hold.

The situation isn't in favor for the general and they both knew it, she could lop off his handsome head here and now and with his execution, the vampires will loss a great amount of brute strength and the threat of being completely conquered will decrease immensely.

But—- she wasn't the type to take advantage of the situation, it didn't feel right as well why one of the great 7 vampires in the nation had fallen weak under a dirty bridge. Something was amiss

"Why do you hesitate? my life... for your arm. It is a small souvenir I will take with me, yet you look like you don't want to slice through me" His thin lips then slowly had it's corner lift up into a sinful smile. Gods! he was a work of art

"Is it that you'd think it is a waste to just kill me? Would you like to have your way with me before I turn to sand?" A tone of sarcasm mixed in his husky voice.

Xerion Hellsworn was always disgusted by the human existence, unfortunately right now there was one right infront of him as death was knocking on his door. He'd heard about the Silver Huntress, she was indeed so beautiful with her hair shining bright like the silver sword that could easily extinguish their lives. She was also known for executing her targets swift and merciful. Even though he just jested with bedding her in his last strength. He felt that she didn't release a killing intent atmosphere. The sword on his face was a bluff to let her go.

She felt her cheeks burn, accompanied with a severely annoyed expression, Ruviena's long pause of disbelief was followed with an idea. Her eyes gave the general a sultry look as she leaned close towards his brilliantly carved face that had blood trickle down from his brow bone

"You brought this upon yourself" she whispered under their misty chilled breath with her lips gently grazed on his cold ones. General Xerion was utterly speechless, the woman was definitely brave or just stupid. But with the woman's sweet mouth the only source of heat he felt the entire night, he indulged in the kiss that he deepened easily by pulling on her wrist and his other hand pressed on the back of her neck bringing her closer.

His tongue slid effortlessly between her lips and she in return mimicked his tongue's gesture carefully feeling his fangs as to not be pierced by them, it was a long and hot make out that lasted for a minute.

Once they broke the kiss, Ruviena was catching her breath and her blue eyes where slightly hazy, her sword too no longer pressed on his face but still in a firm grip was lined near his neck all through out their make out.

"You... little cunt" His eyebrows twitched when he cursed Ruviena against her lips

"What...! did you do..." His grip on her weakened, gritting his teeth with the sudden loss of his remaining strength.

"I had mixed my saliva with a little medicine that hid in my mouth, don't worry, it only makes you docile for a good 12 hours. I'm not gonna let you die seeing as you're full of useful information, let us spend time with each other behind closed door shall we?"

She informed with a her seductive smile as she sheathed the sword back in its scabbard and swung his arm over her shoulders. The man was completely heavy, but there was an inn nearby and she only had to portray the impression of— her man was too drunk and they needed to 'spend the night' in the inn.

She made sure the blood on his cloak weren't so visible as she covered that side of the area with her body while they made their way in the inn, luckily his cloak was black and so was her coat.

The interior of the room was dull and simple. Walls that had seem to have it's pigment disappear because of light rays from the sun during the day. Simple blue curtains that hung over the only window in the room and the wooden floor was covered in dark olive carpet from wall to wall. Furnished with a single bed with a nightstand and a single arm chair

Dropping him not so gently on the bed, she had quickly fumbled her slender hands on his fabric to tend the wound on his chest.

"Slow down baby, we have all night"

Again, she paused in disbelief. This shameless man! She had heard the general vampire was stoic and not one to always attend social gathering, Guess those where all rumors as the man laying before her was flirtatious and even welcomed the idea of a human woman to warm the bed with him

"Yes indeed, we have all night"

She gave a dark smile and pressed harshly on his wound earning herself a sexy grunt from the vampire

"Ugh— You...!" Xerion gritted a forced smile in agony.

Satisfied, She stripped off his cloak revealing his short fringe- black strands. Then his vest, then the shirt. The general was like a Godly statue. He was buffed, muscular... ripped. He wasn't too hairy on the chest as well. There lied a bullet wound. That spot was the area she was most interested in, seeing as the bullet would still be inside

"I know that pure bloods are the rarest and strongest of your kind. An apex predator, but one could wonder how a small silver bullet could bring you at the edge of death" Ruviena knew that the Hunter society haven't developed a type of weapon that could scratch a pure blood. She had cleaned him throughly before she extracted the bullet with medical process she had learned. Killers need healers in their line of work, and she studied the basics

The general wasn't the type to easily reveal inside information, but as he observed the girl for quite some time, she wasn't one of those hateful Hunters as she had been gentle with his wound. Thinking that she deserves a reward, he stated "... There are also war within the vampire race against each other, mainly because the other half didn't want to co exist but instead rule over all, using humans as livestocks" giving a shallow summary of news, he merely was confirming the rumors that had already spread over the lands. He studied her pretty little face that was so focused on his wound. The news didn't seem to bother her especially with the sentence "humans as livestock"

She simply nodded to his words and placed gauze over his would after disinfecting it. The bullet she had extracted was not like what she had seen before

"Uncle Jackal needs to know that Victor has his hands on experimental weaponry." She thought to herself

The Hunter society weren't run purely on hate against vampires, but it was built to bring discipline and order. Now there was a threat to the balance and she knew that one vampire is equal to ten grown men. The ones that kept the outburst of furious vampires where the pureblood vampires, now there seems to be scheme that is being plotted without her knowing what. The outcome would be... a bloody war, and her sister will be caught in it!

She slapped his bullet wound that made him groan, this woman was starting to get on his nerves "All better!" She said cheerfully. She had also bandaged the cut on his eyebrow. The customized bullet seemed to slow down the Vampire's healing time

He laid there with his blood eyes narrowed at the silver Lady, "You do know that I am a general and known for my tact and torturous methods towards my enemies"

She had removed her leather coat and hung it to a chair near the bed. She was now only on her light colored night gown, that did so little in hiding her curves. She was meaty in a good way and the General's eyes appreciated her figure silently. Her glowing skin had never made him want to sink his fangs on her so badly.

"So? Killing you will not benefit us after I've thought about it. The 7 Lord of vampires instill order. You had lead a bloody war that you could have easily conquered us back then, but only ended up taking half of what humans have for land. It seems that your higher ups are not interested in making humans purely into livestock" He was surprised at the young lady's conclusion. Impressive as how she wasn't so narrow minded like other humans

"Yes, humans aren't made to be live stocks and if that was suddenly implemented 300 years ago. Your kind would reduce to half, dying from taking ones life and of course as our food source. And they would be mentally damaged to breed and multiply, forcing to impregnate the female side wouldn't help either as stress cause them to miscarry. All in all it would be causing a scarce in our food supply as time goes" He explained calmly as his eyes absorbed all the curves and details of Lady Ruviena's Temptress of a body. He found himself locking eyes with her deep sapphire ones and she slightly gave him a proud smile. She was full of himself as he was

Her bare feet padded on the carpet towards the bed as she sat on the mattress and leaned over the General that could barely move with the strength she had left him with. Her breasts where heavy as she hovered over him and knowing her cleavage would catch his attention.

"If only you weren't who you are" her soft voice was a song in his ear

"What does that have to do with what we can do?" He grinned slyly as he held her gaze

"Unfortunately for you General, I don't do one night stands, and I am supportive of monogamy. Knowing Vampires hold Harems, I'd save myself for someone special. Tonight, you will be nothing more than a cushion for me to sleep on because I don't plan to sleep on the floor and you are wounded" She then laid beside him, she was too tired to go back home and Victor was still out there looking for this man. She had placed her head on his shoulder and cuddled the man. Guilty, she was taking advantage of the opportunity with the general in different ways

"Pity." He even wrapped his arm strenuously around the lady's slim waist. Having him let out a subtle voice of pain

"Are you not afraid that I might come back for you when I've recovered?" He asked the woman now laying comfortably in his embrace.

"You won't." She stated

"Oh? Why is that?" His fingers had laced on the silver strands as he played with her hair. She was a dangerous beauty. A vampire Hunter that didn't plan on Hunting the injured Vampire that was at her mercy.

"Because as the general your hands will be once again full of political affairs and tactical strategies back in your empire. Also finding out where or who had the bullets made. Tonight, I had guessed that you, the general, had made a silly decision to be outside his comfort zone during the blood moon where the pureblood are at their strongest yet weakest point. Hence... laying in bed with me. You won't come back to look for me. I am still a Huntress" With her eyes closed, she had already secured her future days would be safe. That is why she was so shameless as to cuddle with a natural born enemy.

"Do you kiss your other victims until they are paralyzed all the time?" He asked softly as if he was talking to someone precious to him

"No, In fact. You had my first kiss, but first kisses don't hold any precious meaning for me. The Occassion called for me to do so, and because you are indeed quite a looker. This Lady dares to steal a little bliss for herself" Ruviena was always the playful type when she got the chance. Playing with fire just enough not to be burned

".... atrocious." He smiled

"Thank you" She hummed once more before she had dozed off comfortably. She was never going to see him again any way. She'd leave early in the morning before his medicine would wear off. She didn't need to be concern for the man since the Daylight in the east in these season weren't too harsh as thick cloudy skies would greet the townsfolk in a daily basis. Normally vampires would receive burns from harsh sunlight. For pure bloods they would slightly gain annoyance and sometimes their exposed skin to the sunlight would start a mild smoke emitting from their skin but not enough to kill them.

She had left before dawn came and payed for the room. Her crow Noir flew at a safe distance from her as she strode back to the Dracar Household.

Where her uncle Jackal was waiting in the living room for her in a grimly mood as he clutched a thin crumpled paper that was sent through an albino pigeon from Reilyn. Reilyn would send letters but in case of emergency, Ruviena had given her a pigeon as a gift and contact the Dracars using the pigeon in secret.
