After riding the buss for a few hours Drake arrived at his house. Before Drake could walk in he heard a scream from a close alleyway.
"HELP, SOMBO...Mmmm!"
From the voice it seemed to be a girl trying to struggle free from whoever is attacking her. Not wanting to waste to much time Drake went ahead and checked it out.
Only to find a group of guys ripping the clothes off of a poor girl who was being held down with her mouth covered.
Getting a closer look it turned out to be Mia! Drake suddenly had his vision turn red before using [ShadowTransport] to get close to them.
"Hey who are you? If you want a turn your gonna have to wai..."
Before he could finish his sentence his neck did a 360 before getting ripped off spraying blood everywhere. The other 4 guys froze on the spot.
Next thing they knew they were all in the air. Falling straight to the ground. All of them saw this and started to scream 3 of them splattered on the ground.
The fourth person was caught by Drake. Drakes vision slowly became normal after catching the man.
Throwing him on the ground Drake broke both his legs. "Who the hell are you and what do you think your doing!?" Drake shouted at the man.
"W-we were just following orders. This girl was supposed to be moved to a brothel to work off her debt. I'm warning you if you get in our way boss will kill you."
"Oh really, and who is this boss of yours?" Drake asked after rolling his eyes.
"Francis a level 9 warrior. Your a dead man unless you let me go. If you let me go ill put in a good word so you will only have to do 5 years of slavery." The man said with a slightly smile.
Drake took the man's arms and broke them then knocked all of his teeth out and threw him father in the alley.
Drake walked up to Mia who was shaking in the corner. "Your safe now don't worry I'm here." Drake said in a calming voice while giving her his jacket.
Mia suddenly jumped into Drake's arms crying as much as she could. Once they arrived home Mia would still not let go of Drake so he decided to go sell his [Energy crystals] to get some money for food.
After attacking those men Drake finally leveled up. So he decided to check his stats.

Drake had 4 [Energy crystals] left from the hunt. After buying the [Health Potion] Drake only had 1 left but the he got 7 more just from looting John and Samuel.
So after the school took half Drake was left with 4. With only 1 of those men being a level 1 warrior and the rest just being normal Drake only got a single experience point from that fight.
With that single point he was now level 3 and decided to put his points into vitality just Incase something happened and he couldn't dodge.

After looking at his stats Drake found that he had a new ability [Enrage] which he must of got from his fight But he doesn't remember an [Ability crystal] dropping.
'Does that mean I can learn abilities even without a crystal?' Drake was ecstatic.
Not only was he lucky enough to find 2 [Ability crystals] with enough hard work he can learn abilities on his own.
Without further ado Drake checked the description.

"Level 1"*Passive*(Enrage) : When your anger is just to much you enter an enraged state which will add 3 points to every stat

'Wow this is an amazing ability and it's only level 1. The cooldown sucks but at the same time I don't get angry every couple hours anyway.'
With that out of the way Drake told Mia to change clothes so they can go shopping. If Drake sold the level 8 [SilverBack Ape] core he would already have over $1,000. The rest of the cores were either level 1 or 2 So they could only sell for $250 and $500 but that's still alot of money.
After she was done changing and washing her face of tears Mia jumped on Drakes back."Th-th-thank you brother for helping me." Mia struggled to get the words out without crying once again.
"I will always help when I can but you still need to get stronger because it was only thanks to luck that I got here in time otherwise... So you should start studying magic even if you have to slack in normal studies."
"Yes brother I will do that I'm sorry I'm such a burden." Mia said and once again started crying.
"Your not a burden I just want to make sure your always safe."
With that said Drake started walking towards the mage association after putting his [Energy crystals] in a small burlap sack. It wasn't to far of a walk it only took a hour to reach. That's what the teacher told everyone who lived in the dorms.
When they arrived Drake and Mia were in awe at how huge this building was. I could fit more than a thousand small houses. The building was 7 story's high with each story as tall as a baby dragon.
After standing in the open for 10 minutes in a daze Drake finally awoke and started to head inside. Around the building was alot of stall with mages of different tiers selling their personal treasures.
The Mage Association was the biggest shop for any and everything all around the world. If they didn't have something at this shop they would have it delivered from one of the others that have it.
If you needed to sell something they would always give the normal exchange price with no bargains allowed same for purchases that's why other mages sometimes go to other places to purchase cheaper goods.
After going in Drake saw a few sections dedicated to selling items and headed straight for it. Seeing this person approach rapidly the lady behind the desk was caught off guard.
"Hello sir what would you like to sell?"
"I have some cores of level 1,2 ,and 8 beast I would like to sell." Drake said pulling out the burlap sack and placing it on the desk.
Since [Energy crystal] was to much to say people of the mages association would call them cores instead which is a lot easier to say during trades.
"Alright let me take a look...You actually have a level 8 core. Did you steal this. If we find out you stole this you will be severely punished."
"No I got it by trapping the beast now hurry up I have to get home and make food for my sister here."
"Alright for two level 1 cores and one level 2 core as well as one level 8 core your to total is $3000 so here is 3 silver. Have a nice day."
With his 3 silver Drake walked around the place looking at all the cool items before leaving to head to the food market.
After getting all of the supplies he needed Drake was left with 2 silver and 12 copper which still alot of money. He only needed to spend 88 copper to get new appliances and some ingredients.
Being a high-school graduate and taking culinary classes Drake new a few things about cooking. So Drake and Mia finally headed home after shopping and looking around.
