I will free you.....

Kazekabe wandered aimlessly through the dimly lit halls of the haunted house, the artifact clenched tightly in his hand. His thoughts swirled with confusion and a hint of determination. The eerie silence was occasionally broken by the whispers and faint giggles of the seven Sins that inhabited the house with him. Each shadowy corner seemed to breathe with a life of its own, amplifying the oppressive atmosphere.

Suddenly, Sloth appeared before him, her voice sluggish yet curious. "Why would you come to a haunted place like this?" she asked, yawning mid-sentence.

Kazekabe sighed and leaned against the wall, feeling the weight of his struggles pressing down on him. "Honestly, I didn't have many choices. I needed a new place, but I didn't have enough money. This house was all I could afford. Plus, you know... I'm a mess. Sad, depressed, broken. My parents are gone. I thought maybe a change of scenery, even a haunted one, might help."

The Sins exchanged glances, their expressions softening as they sensed the depth of his pain. Despite their mischievous nature, they felt a strange connection to Kazekabe and his plight.

Lust, always forward and direct, stepped closer. "We can sense your pain, Kazekabe. It's written all over you. But why stay here and not somewhere else?"

Kazekabe looked at her, then at the others who had gathered around. "Honestly, I don't know." He paused, gathering his thoughts. "What if... what if we tried to be friends? Could we do that?"

The Sins looked at each other, a mix of surprise and hope on their faces. Envy, her voice tinged with longing, replied, "It's not silly. It's kind. We haven't had kindness in a long time."

Kazekabe nodded, his resolve hardening. "If we're friends, then maybe it's not just about me finding a cheap place to stay. Maybe I can actually help you. As a friend, I should try to help you. I want to free you all from this house. There has to be a way to break the curse, to destroy the artifact that binds you here."

With newfound determination, he examined the artifact closely, feeling its dark energy pulsing under his fingers. He took it outside, intending to smash it against the ground. He raised it high and brought it down with all his might, but the artifact remained intact. Undeterred, he tried throwing it far into the distance, watching it disappear into the night, only for it to inexplicably reappear in his hand, its cold surface mocking his efforts.

Frustration mounting, Kazekabe stormed back inside. This time, he hurled the artifact out of an open window with all his might. He watched it sail through the air, hoping it would vanish into the darkness. A moment later, it came hurtling back through the window, striking him squarely in the face. He stumbled back, a sharp pain blooming as blood trickled from a cut on his forehead.

The Sins, witnessing the incident, were immediately concerned. Wrath's voice boomed through the hall, "Kazekabe, are you alright?" Their ethereal forms flickered in agitation as they hovered around him, unable to physically help.

Envy, always yearning for a semblance of normalcy, muttered, "If only we could touch things, we could help."

Lust's usually confident demeanor cracked, her voice trembling. "We can't just stand here and watch him suffer."

Greed's eyes darted around desperately, looking for any solution. "There must be something we can do!"

Panic began to set in, their ethereal forms flickering more erratically. The Sins' helplessness and worry filled the air, a tangible weight pressing down on them.

Desperation painted Gluttony's usually passive face. Her gaze landed on a first aid kit on a nearby shelf. With a look of sheer determination, she reached out, her normally intangible hands stretching towards it. To everyone's astonishment, her fingers wrapped around the kit, gripping it as if she were human.

"Look!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with astonishment. "I can hold it!"

Kazekabe's eyes widened as well, a mixture of shock and hope flooding his expression. Gluttony approached him carefully, her movements cautious but deliberate. The other Sins watched in breathless anticipation as she opened the kit and began to clean his wound. With their guidance and support, she managed to bandage it.

The realization dawned on all of them—under certain conditions, they could take on a physical form.

"This changes everything," Kazekabe murmured, touching the bandage on his forehead. "If you can become physical, there might be a way to break the curse after all."

Pride, usually aloof, nodded thoughtfully. "Perhaps our connection to you is what allows this. We need to explore this further."

Greed, eyes gleaming with a newfound hope, added, "If we can find a way to control this ability, we might just have a chance to break free."
