12 lucky last

As they approached the last house, Sophie could feel butterflies in her stomach. [This might be the one...]. Taking a step of the carriage, Sophie saw the quaint cottage on top of a small hill. There was greenery growing from the front of the house to the roof and wide glass panels. A brick pathway guided the girls to the wooden round door. Alongside, flowers of numerous colours gave vibrance to the grass.

Inside, the glass panels are shown bright sunlight onto the living space, and next to it a wide kitchen area. Oaky tabletops and creams filled the kitchen with cute appliances. On the top floor, there were 3 bedrooms, each with their separate washrooms, and the attic provided the perfect space as a hobby room. Everything was perfect for them.

Sophie and Lucy looked at each other.

"Celine, this is perfect. We'll take it!" Sophie said, enthusiastically.

"Great! We'll settle all the debts and paperwork back at Town Hall!"

As there were on the way back to the carriage, they noticed a familiar boy outside.

"Arthur!" Sophie waved.

The small boy came running towards them, giving them each a welcome hug.

"Are you going to be my new neighbours?" Arthur asked.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you! The Brighton's live just opposite you." Celine said.

"Oh, that's marvellous! Arthur you can come to visit us whenever you like now!" Sophie said.

"Yes yes please." Arthur grinned, rosy cheeks and all.

"Well, we'll have to get going if you want to visit the girls soon, Arthur. We'll see you very soon." Celine said.

The trio gave the young boy a wave of goodbye before going back into town once more.
