Chapter 56: Crisis

"I have a crisis and I need you to remote in, now, through on video chat." Adalee's voice came out frantic.

"Can this wait until tomorrow?" Carter groaned as he ran his hand through his hair.

"Afraid not." Adalee spoke and the echoing of papers flipping on a desk came through the receiver.

"Okay. Give me ten." Carter hung up as he rushed over to his luggage to grab a plum hued button down and a pair of black boxers. No one was going to be seeing below his waist anyway.

Ariana stared at him with a towel wrapped around herself, confused. "What is it?"

"Get dressed. Work casual. Hair up in a bun. You got ten minutes." Carter pointed at her as he threw his shirt on and adjusted it around his shoulders before he buttoned it.

"What? Why?" Ariana ran to her luggage and grabbed a lavender blouse from it. She threw it on and shoved on a silver lace thong.
