Chapter 188: Pink

Carter and Ariana sat on the bed with their kids. Carter held Emily in his lap and Josh sat between his parents. Ariana smiled and looked from Carter to the kids, trying to think of how to bring this up.

"So, we want to talk to you guys about something." Carter started and it surprised Ariana that he had.

"What is it, daddy?" Emily peered up at him with interest.

"Yeah, what is it?" Josh looked between his parents.

"Well... we got a deal in China and Mommy and Daddy have to go fly out there. So..." Carter was interrupted by Josh.

"Wait, together?" Josh jumped in his spot in surprise that his parents were going to go together.

"Mm-hm, together." Ariana nodded and Josh glanced between them with his lips parted.

"Are we going too, daddy?" Emily gave him a sad expression.

"No, baby. You and your brother are going to stay with grandma and grandpa for the week." Carter brushed her hair behind her ear.
