Ariana held their two-year-old son, Josh's, little hand as she touched her round stomach. Carter threw a stick for Lucky and watched her run to fetch it and bring it back to them. He laughed and grabbed the stick to throw it again.
"Play?" Josh peered up at his mother and pointed towards the playground at the park.
"You can play." Ariana nodded and watched him run off. She walked after him and sighed as Carter kept his gaze on them.
Josh screamed and ran around the playground with the other kids. Ariana walked beside the play equipment, watching him from a safe distance. She was eight months pregnant, and they couldn't wait to meet their daughter, Emily.
Carter laughed and walked over with Lucky on her leash. "Keeping you busy, I see."
"He is. He never stops having energy." Ariana held her lower back and rested her hand over her stomach. "I'm exhausted."
"Do you want to go home?" Carter reached over to run his hand along her back for her, massaging it.
