I was so stunned that my mind just went blank. What should I even reply to this kind of quetion?

"Well..." I did not know what to say and it is when I heard a voice of a door opening.

It was Krutik. He indeed is my best friend. He knew I needed him right now.

He came out of the room rubbing his eyes – "Ohhh.. Good Morning guys. Hope you slept well Veer"

"Like a baby" Veer replied smiling.

"Good Morning" I said happily. I have never been this pleased to see Krutik as pleased I was at that time. "Lets have lunch out today. I found this amazing restaurant on insta. I want to go there pleaseeeeee" I said to Krutik trying to change the subject so I don't have to reply to Veer's question.

"Okay okay… You seem quite happy this morning." Krutik said with a small laugh "Veer you are coming too right?"

"I would love to join but I thought someone couldn't even walk till kitchen some time back and now…" Veer said shaking is head any side eyeing me.

Huh, over-smart. I gave him a 'I don't see what's funny' face while Krutik looked in-between me and Veer figuring out what we were exactly doing. I looked at Krutik and I shook my head indicating that he is just saying something nonsense no need to take it seriously. No one has ever pissed me off like he does not even Mrs Khosla. I thought I was just having a bad day and it had to do nothing with specifically him and got up from the sofa.

"okayyyyyyy so decided. I will go wake up Ivy" I said to Krutik totally ignoring Veer

As I went in the room I saw Ivy already woken up and looking at her phone.

"Good Morning sleepyhead. And how many times have I told you not to use mobile directly after getting up." I said getting her attention

"Good Morning Mommy. Sorry mommy but it will happen again and again and again as, guess what? I am 27 and not 12 are I am very much capable of thinking about myself" she said in a baby voice.

You all might find Ivy quite rude but this is how we always talk... correction...we always fight not talk but we have been communicating like this for years and now its just a habit.

I took the pillow and hit her on her head and soon a pillow fight broke-out. I think we made too much noise. Within some minute we saw Krutik and Veer at our door as well and we stopped. We gave each other a devilish look and then-

"ATTACK" Ivy said and ran behind them with the pillow

"That's not fair we don't have pillows" Krutik said trying to dodge Ivy's attacks

"Everything is fair in love and war" I said replying to Krutik.

Soon we were divided into 2 teams, Girls v/s Boys and its just felt like we are back in childhood. We were all out of breath by the end and were lying on our bed in my bedroom laughing at ourselves. I had not been that happy in a long time, Mumbai had indeed bought a magical happiness in my Life

"Ohh God I am tired. I don't want to move" Veer said huffing

"Noooo noo noo… I want to go to that restaurant. Everyone get up fast and get ready. Its weekend if we will go late we will have to wait longer" I said pulling everyone up from the bed.

I can be so stubborn when I want something. To be honest even I didn't have the strength to get up but than I wanted to go to that restaurant as well.

We all got ready and then headed down to Krutik's car. Krutik and Ivy went down first while I was making sure that every window is closed while Veer was waiting for me so I was not alone, maybe that or something else which I didn't want to face at that time.

During all this time Veer was staring at me with his gorgeous grey eyes. We entered the lift and he was still looking at me but wasn't saying anything. I couldn't take it anymore so I shouted -

"WHAT?"

"I wanted to ask you something" he said placing his finger and thumb on his chin

"As far as I have observed you, you are definitely not waiting for my permission, so ask already" yeah it did sound rude but the way he was staring me was unbearable for both my body and brain.

"First let me mention that I am really happy to hear that you observed me" he said to which I sighed and gave him a 'it was cringe' look . He took a 5 second pause and continued "When you said everything is fair in love and war, was it love or war?"

And that question just took me off-guard. I just said it randomly why would he think so much about it? I told you he is totally crazy.
