'CONTRACT-GIRLFRIEND'

"You are clearly threatening me!" Jennifer looked into his eyes with some anger.

'Was he playing with her?'

Emmett eyes were smiling even though his facial expressions remained same.

"No, I am not." Saying this he stood up and went back to sit opposite to her.

Jennifer was trying to keep her cool. The devil in front of her was continuously trying to piss her off and she was getting angry by his casual remarks.

Thinking about his offer, she couldn't seem to understand why he was asking her to be his girlfriend. She had already taught of a reason and confirmed it herself, without asking anybody. But a little part of her was hesitant in accepting this.

Lost in her deep thought, she didn't see the smirk that form it's way on the devil's face.

After contemplating for a while, she finally replied, "I would willingly be your fake girlfriend only if your promise not to tell anyone about my real face."

The man hummed and spoke, "You don't have to worry about that. I will not tell anyone about it."

"And why would I believe in your words?"

"Hmm, you are right. We simply cannot believe anyone's words. But you don't have to worry, I will make sure that we don't go back on our words."

Jennifer gave him a quizzical look, when Emmett put forward a file which was lying on the table beside him.

Jennifer opened it and was shocked to see the word 'Contract- Girlfriend' written at the top.

'Why is the man carrying this contract with him? Is he in dire need to find a girlfriend?' She feel pity for him, thinking that his family must be forcing him to look for a partner. And so he must have tried to look for few girls and they must have readily agreed because of his looks, but this man must have some standards.

Nowadays couple usually kissed and did many intimate things.

But she understood that he wanted to keep his sexual preference a secret and as he wasn't interested in girls, so he would not be able to do such things to other girls.

He must have declined them all. And as she was the one he knew, he must have proposed it. Also she was having her own purpose, hence this would be a win-win situation.

But still Jennifer asked him, "When did you draft a contract?"

When Emmett had seen her bare faced, without that ugly makeup, he was having various plans in his head on how to agree her to date him. He was quite sure that she would ask him to keep mum about it.

Hence he decided to use this situation and benefit himself. So when Travis was helped out by Jennifer from the fire, he directly ordered him to make contract.

Travis at start was puzzled by his Master's sudden request. He knew that he was looking into a girl's identity and her name was Alissa. But what made him shocked was that his Master was already making a contract and that too for having a girlfriend.

But he didn't asked anything and quickly drafted the contract as he was told to.

It was at that time when he had gone into Emmett's room to keep the contract, he saw Jennifer coming in.

He was more puzzled when Emmett asked him to go out so that he could personally talk with her.

Emmett made up some reason so that she wouldn't doubt anything, "I was looking for a random girl as my grandfather was urging me to marry someone. But I was not interested, so I just drafted a contract to make sure that he is left satisfied and I don't have to indulge myself into that kind of relationship."

'So my assumption was right,' thought Jennifer.

She knowingly nodded her head. 'Let's not expose him.'
