Reborn As A Warlock, Misunderstood As Strongest
An author, frustrated by readers not understanding his novel, makes a bet with one of them.
"Just create and write a new novel," the reader challenges.
"I wrote it, but what will you do if it fails?" the author asks.
"If you do that and still fail, I will send you $500 per month for a year. Certification available. Ok? What will you do if everything goes well?" the reader replies.
"Haha, I would at least be possessed by that lump of waste character in my novel," the author jokes, not knowing these words would be the worst he'd ever utter.
"Okay, I'll do whatever you want for once," he agrees, casting aside his pride.
He writes non-stop for a week, completing 20 episodes of what he considers type waste. Without hesitation, he starts serializing it. To his surprise, his novel enters the top 100 in the new work rankings.
*Ding!* [Comment notification.]
He has an uneasy feeling but, as a writer, cannot ignore comments. He clicks to read.
"Now don't forget your promise," the reader reminds him.
At that moment, with light coming from the monitor, he loses consciousness.

When he opens his eyes, the author finds himself transmigrated into the body of a character he wrote—Abel Croy, a member of the hero warriors party.
Everyone in the party calls him a monster, insect, slug, and many other names. Abel knows that if he stays with the hero party, he will eventually die at the hands of the protagonist. So, he decides to leave.
Abel Croy is weak—very weak. He thinks it will be difficult to survive with this weak and arrogant body, but for some reason, everyone misunderstands him. They believe he is strong and fear him.
'Why are you looking at me with fear? Aren't you supposed to be the main villain of my novel?' he thinks.
Realizing the advantage of this misunderstanding, Abel decides to use it for his own good.
