Chapter 2: Evidence

Mika's P.O.V

I just waited for my classes to finish so I can go back to the rooftop again to investigate further, don't get me wrong tho…I still listen to what my teachers are lecturing, we just did a short quiz in my history class and the rest of my classes was just lectures and announcement on when we are having our pretest.

Three hours had passed and it's already lunch break, I usually eat inside the cafeteria but because of what I saw earlier, I need to spend my lunch break back at the rooftop.

I just ordered a salad, medium fries, and coke then headed straight to the rooftop.

I was about to open the door when I heard a girls voice, a group of girls voice to be exact and they are talking about something and they are pretty load so a recorder can still hear it so I took my phone out to record it, I think it's the same group of girls earlier, I just eves dropping when I heard one of them said that they're leaving.

"let's go girls, have we have a funeral to attend later HAHAHAHA"

There are four girls and one gay which makes them five.

They all laugh and I heard their footsteps getting closer to the doorway so I have to quickly hide behind the big boxes on the left corner.

After I make sure that they've already gone, I quickly make my way to the door and entered the rooftop.

The stick is still there and so is the paint, I came closer to examine the things and to my surprise, the red paint can doesn't have paint inside, only on the outside to make it look dripping but what's inside the can made me smirk.

I quickly got my phone out of my pocket and dialed Inspector Lee's number.

•Calling Inspector lee•

"Hello, inspector?"

"Hello Mika, what's with the sudden call?"

"I have something that needs to be scanned and for fingerprint analysis and identification"

"What? Where is it?"

"Here in our school, rooftop to be exact"

"Okay, I'll be on my way there, don't touch anything or use gloves so you won't spoil the evidence"

"Yes Inspector...bye"

•End of Phone call•

After the call with Inspector Lee, took a photo of the objects to where they are placed and just chose not to touch anything because I don't have any disposable gloves with me.

I just waited for Inspector Lee's arrival and just eat my lunch on the other corner of the rooftop.

After 5 mins, Inspector Lee arrived and I immediately told him about the stick, dried blood stained and the other stained that looks like semen on the other end.

Next is the can of red paint that has four pairs of white disposable gloves inside it.

"Inspector I want to investigate further in this mystery, I'm sure sooner or later you will find a dead body may be inside in the campus or outside close to this campus"

"Sure Mika, I'll let you know when the results are ready, I will also sen some police both inside and outside the campus to search for a dead body, for now, I need to go back to the headquarters to get these things scanned"

"Okay Inspector"

Inspector Lee then got a disposable glove out of his pocket and wrapped the possible evidence with plastic for the stick and a big zip-lock bag for the paint can.

He then said his goodbye and exited the rooftop, while I finish my food and just browse on my phone on my remaining time.

After 15 mins of just browsing my phone, I feel sleepy and decided to go back to our classroom and sleep in there, I stopped by the cafeteria to buy medium-sized lemonade and then headed to our room, I still have 30 mins until the bell ring so I'll just rest in here and sleep since I'm the only one in here.

30mins have passed and I got waken up by the noise of my other classmates, I guess all of them are here now and just waiting for our teacher to come in.

"GUYSSS OUR MAPEH TEACHER ISN'T COMING, SHE SAID THEY HAVE AN EMERGENCY MEETING!!"

My classmate Jessica shouted to the whole classroom to inform us, I was about to grab my bag when my phone vibrated.

You have received a text message from Inspector Lee*

'Mika I already have the results and the policemen I sent found a girl's dead body near the dumpsite of your campus, meet me at the cafeteria.'

After I read Inspector's message, I immediately grab my bag and my unfinished lemonade and headed towards the cafeteria.

While I was on my way there, I saw the group of girls and the gay I saw earlier this morning on the rooftop and their eyes widened when they saw me going the way that made them shift their path.

I then saw inspector Lee sitting on a table near the window so I approached him.

"So inspector, how was the result?"

"Here is the result I guess you are right that the red stain on the stick was blood"

He handed me the envelope in front of him and it was the result but to my surprise, the white-ish or colorless stain I saw earlier was not semen, but a hair gel, and the gel was also in the gloves.

"The body was found on the dumpsite of your school on the left-wing, estimated time and death was around 6:30 in the morning, the autopsy report revealed that the victim was raped first before she was choked to death by her long hair"

Inspector informed me, after reading the autopsy report for more detailed information I excused myself to go to the comfort room, I saw the same group of girls headed towards the comfort room and there is something I need to confirm.

When I entered the comfort room they got surprised to see me and smiled at me, I just smiled back so I wouldn't look rude, I was pretending to wash my hand while I'm observing them the side eye, and then something fell on the floor and it stopped exactly at the side of my foot.

"Is this yours?"

I handed them the thing that fell

"Yes its mine, thank you"

The gay said and took it out of my hand, I just washed my hand again and walk out of the comfort room with a smirk on my face, I immediately go back to where Inspector Lee was on and stated.

"I already know who the culprits are Inspector…."
