Chapter 1: Rooftop

Mika's P.O.V

Waking up in the morning is my favorite thing to do, especially now that only 2 days more and we're gonna move to a different city, and that means I'll be transferring to a different school.

I'm not a social person but I wanna meet new people and have REAL FRIENDS students at my school who only respect you if you're rich and famous.

"Mika the food is ready!"

I got cut off by my mom shout

"Yes, mom coming!"

I answered.

I am currently eating my breakfast now before I go I school and there's something I forgot to tell you jeez, I forgot to introduce myself.

My Name is Mika Sigrrid Standford I am known to be a high school detective in our city,

I usually help the police to solve crimes and figure out codes, and no I don't get paid for it cuz I don't want to haha.

We own Hotels, beach resorts, restaurants, hospitals, and our empire, STANDFORD EMPIRE...now you understand why everyone in my school wants to be my friend? haha

So here I'm just a typical teenager, I'm 16 years old who's an avid fan of Sherlock Holmes and Detective Conan, loves to dance k-pop and pop music, favorite color is black, white and purple, a journalist in our school, loves reading mystery thriller stories, a consistent honor student and a person who loves to eat all the time.

oh and if you're wondering...

I.DONT.HAVE.A.BOYFRIEND

I don't have time tho..and boys nowadays are somehow too cliche, I wanna date a man who has the same interest as me and knows how to handle ME and my unreasonable mood swing lol. hahaha

So yeah...that's the basic info you need to know about me

I'm now done eating and preparing to go to school now since we have a pretest to take for our first period.

I don't bother studying, I mean reading books and stuff like that, I have a retentive and photographic memory making it easy for me to remember what our topic was, I just need to listen to the lecture but I'm not gonna lie, I don't listen all the time hehe

studying tips, record what you need to study or the coverage that you need to focus on a specific exam like history, geography, literature, science, etc. and then grab your earphones and play that instead of music for you to easily memorize the definition or to familiarize a topic like memorizing a periodic table.

play that instead to put it in your mind like music...even if you don't know the lyrics but if you keep on replaying the song... you can memorize it and it always works for me HAHAHAHA.

and also I advise you to take notes cuz it's really handy, it's easier to familiarize in there than reading and high lighting a book.

"uh Mika, I won't be home until tomorrow, I have a lot of work to do

and—

"mom, I understand okay? you're a busy person, you and dad...no need to explain"

She just shrugs and gave me a smile and a kiss on my forehead.

"well I guess I'll be going now, your dad will be home tomorrow night from his business trip, maybe a dinner outside would be great"

"sure mom I will be looking forward to that"

After our small talk, she's off to work and I'm also off to school now.

I wish there's another interesting crime today or else it will be BORINGGG AS HELLLL.

On my way to school, I stopped by to get my favorite star bucks drink which is iced signature chocolate, my day wouldn't be complete without this drink.

My school is only 7 km away from our house and I have my car making it not too difficult to get to school on time.

I parked my BMW M3 car in my usual parking space and head to my classroom

Our teacher isn't here yet so I just finished my drink and browse my phone for a bit,

I was chatting with my childhood friend Shieny, she's in a different school tho but SHE IS MY ONLY TRUE FRIEND SINCE I WAS A CHILD, we use to be neighbors in our subdivision but then they move to a different city, and that city is where I'm transferring to for the next two days.

Our house there just got finished and I requested to move in there to have a different environment, it's not that far from here tho but still...HAHAHAHA

After 20 mins. our teacher arrived and we started our pretest for today...

After our pretest for this subject which is science and we just have a quick lecture to spend the remaining time and then off to the next subject which is math...my HATEST SUBJECT.

Oh good Lord just makes me do an essay for 3 thousand words in just one and a half hours please don't make me solve math:> it's my weakness lol.

So nothing new, I wanna sleep during the lecture but I can't...we have a different sitting arrangement for this subject and I'm in the second row if you count it horizontally but thank God that went fast.

Every two subjects we have a free 15 mins. snack break, usually just buy a fried sweet potato with sugar on a skewer and then an ice tea drink and will go straight to the rooftop of our school where I usually spend my free time alone.

When I arrived at the rooftop, I noticed a stick...like an arnis stick but longer and thicker on the other side of the rooftop, there is a blood-stained red on the lower side of it since its placed vertically and leaning on the table in that side, then I saw red paint on the top of the table so maybe its just paint.

After five minutes...a group of girls arrive on the rooftop and they're pretty surprised to see me, I just turned they're back on them and continue eating and browsing my phone but couldn't be more bothered, they are looking in my direction and seems like they are talking to something.

They are currently sitting on the other table where the paint and stick was.

I was about to ask them what they want but then the bell rang and that means that break time is over and to my surprise, they ran immediately exiting the rooftop.

While I was walking towards the door to exit the rooftop too, my eyes are diverted on the stick, one side is red-ish or like a dried blood color and then the other end has a colorless jelly textured liquid....its like semen.

Something's not right here, and I'm gonna find out what later...I still need to attend class.
