Chapter 27

My hesitant sleep was fully awakened when the door's lock quietly slipped out of its socket.  I started watching what was going on through my eyelashes.  I didn't know what time it was, but night still dominated the earth.  The darkness of the room was blocking my view, but I could clearly see the door opening all the way.

I knew Cesur was coming.  It was just a feeling, but strong enough.  After entering the brave room, he closed the door.  He stepped into the single seat next to the window.

I didn't open my eyes fully so as not to show that I was awake.  I was trying to peek through my eyelashes.  I don't know why but I was wondering what to do.  I wanted to know why he was absent all evening and he was quietly entering my room in the middle of the night.
