A Confrontation And An Accident

Vivian's pov.....

I wasn't going to spare her, No I wasn't, if she had confronted me then that would have been a different case but going after my family! Now that was a No No.

"Kate" I shouted immediately I entered the mansion.

"Who is screaming my name like a barbarian" She strolled downstairs but I didn't even wait for her to get down, I ambushed her halfway and she looked down on me "Ohh it's only you Vivian, what do you want?".

I rolled my eyes "Ohh please Kate, don't pretend like you don't know why am here".

"I don't and if you are not going to tell me then get out of my way" She attempted to walk past me but I blocked her path "You are not leaving until am done talking to you" then I pointed a finger at her "Look Kate, you crossed the limit by threatening my family, I might act cool all the time but I actually lose it when my family gets involved in this kind of things".

She pouted "I don't know what you're talking about".

I clenched my fist "Don't act smart with me, I know you visited my house claiming Adamson was your boyfriend and that I snatched him from you".

She shrugged "Isn't that the truth, Adamson belonged to me and you snatched him from me".

"I didn't even know you existed when I met Adamson and it's like Cory said, you are just one of his numerous one night stand" That was bitter but it just had to be said.

"A one night stand that is going to be the mother of his kid" She defended.

"You just got lucky Kate and that's all, that is if that child you are carrying really belongs to Adamson and you're not just faking it".

"How dare you!" She attempted to slap me but I caught her hands before it landed "Don't ever raise your hand at me again".

She pushed me "How dare you touch me with your filthy hands".

I took a deep breath to calm myself "Don't push me".

"If I do then what will you do about it".

She attempted to push me again but this time I doghed and she slipped. I wasn't expecting what happened next, if I did then I would have stopped it but I didn't and Kate thumbled down the stairs.

I stood frozen in spot as I stared at the blood stained stairs and the puddle of blood beneath her body, was the baby going to be okay? was she dead? Ohh God, what was I going to do now.

"Am telling you Adamson, Vivian probably got upset when she saw you weren't there and left home".

"I had business to attend to" That was Pete and Adamson's voices, my vision blurred as I held on to the staircase, this wasn't happening.

"Look Adamson, I told you she was home"

Adamson trailed his eyes down to the bloody stairs and then to Kate's lifeless form on the tiles "You pushed her" That wasn't a question.

My lips trembled "We had an argument and I was just.....and she fell" I know I wasn't making any sense right now but I was scared and it felt worse with the way Adamson was staring at me.

Peter walked over to where Kate laid and scooped her in his arms "Adamson, she's losing a lot of blood".

"Get her in the car, we are going to the hospital" And Pete walked out of the mansion. Adamson turned to go but then stopped "I'll deal with you later" and he left.

I slumped on the stairs as tears rolled down my cheeks, was I a murderer? It didn't matter what kind of offense she had committed, murdering her was still not justified. Ohh God, please let Kate and the baby be fine.

"Ohh God what happened here!" Siri gasped immediately she entered the mansion, sighting the bloody stairs.

She suddenly snapped out of her shock and shook her head "Cory can't see this" and she ran to get some napkins to wipe the blood, why did she make such a statement, was Cory allergic to the sight of blood.

"Am home" Cory suddenly announced and Kate put more speed in what she was doing "All done" She sighed as she dropped the bloody napkins in the waste bin and sprayed some air freshener around the house "Welcome back Cory".

He cocked his brow as he entered the mansion "That's strange, you have never welcomed me before" Then he sighted me on the staircase and rushed to my side "Vivian, what's wrong?".

I shook my head as more tears came rolling down "Kate had an accident".

"Accident? how?".

"We were talking........and she fell...... and Adamson".

He stared at me "You are not making any sense Vivian but where is she?".

I bit my fingers "Adamson and Pete took her to the hospital".

He held his keys "Okay then, I guess we are going to the hospital" then he faced Siri "Take care of the house while we are gone" and he grabbed my hands before I could even object, leading me out of the house. Adamson was definitely going to be mad when he saw me.
