"You... you crazy bitch!"

Xu Linlang shuddered as she tried to break loose from Xu Shun's hold. When she heard Bai Ruoxi's remarks, she knew it wasn't any mere nonsense. She would realize what she had said.

Xu Linlang felt strength escaping her legs and her hands started to tremble. Her wide opened eyes goggled at Bai Ruoxi while the latter continued to observe their terror-filled gazes with a smile.

"I'm no mirror, my dear Aunt." Bai Ruoxi shook her head, "Who was it that came to our house and slandered my father?"

Xu Linlang suddenly forgot her fear as anger swelled inside her chest. "What slander?! Are you blind?! Can't you see that Xinya is clearly pregnant, you stupid bitch?!"

Bai Ruoxi was just about to throw another remark when she heard familiar footsteps coming near. She turned around and found an elderly woman dressed in a white coat staring at them with a brow raised.

"Doctor Lee." Bai Ruoxi greeted with a warm smile.

Doctor Lee was a renowned Korean doctor in her late sixties. After some circumstances, she had fled Korea years ago and currently worked as the Bai Family's private doctor. She was also a good friend of Bai Ruoxi's grandfather and had cared for her ever since she was young.

Doctor Lee sighed as she looked at the situation before her. She came because the Young Miss had called for her to checkup Ming Lu, but wasn't the boy fresh as a daisy right now? Instead... the girl who was being held back by him was the injured one.

"Come, let me patch up your wound." Doctor Lee gestured for Ming Lu to hand Peng Xinya over to her assistant.

"Don't touch my daughter! I know what you're scheming of! You want to abort the child in her!" Xu Linlang suddenly shrieked, baffling Doctor Lee.

Was this woman stupid? Doctor Lee thought. How could a doctor randomly carry out an abortion?

Although a doctor couldn't tell whether one was pregnant or not just by examining the patient during the early stages of pregnancy, Doctor Lee wasn't that dense. She had also overheard the conversation on her way here. It was most likely that Bai Shizhen didn't even commit any form of adultery, moreover to get her pregnant.

Besides... Doctor Lee could feel Bai Ruoxi's gaze on her. The elderly woman understood what her young miss wanted. Even though she was kind of violating her medical ethics by doing this, she supposed it was fine, as she was doing it for the sake of Bai Family which she was greatly indebted to.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am. But your daughter clearly isn't pregnant." Doctor Lee stated while adjusting her glasses. "Do you take us doctors as a joke?"

Xu Linlang gritted her teeth, "You! You're fake! You're plotting against us with that slut!"

Technically, she wasn't wrong...

"Then shall we visit several hospitals of your preference then?" Doctor Lee sharpened her gaze and held her hands behind her back. "If it is proven that you're neither pregnant nor had been touched by the Master, what will you do? Not only have you slandered him, but also me. The price is not something that you could afford to pay."

At this dire moment, Peng Xinya finally remembered that she had missed a crucial point.

She was a virgin.

Peng Xinya had preserved her chastity for her big moment, for the day which would be the downfall of Xu Liluo and Bai Ruoxi. She had been indulged in her own delusions and was too self-absorbed to reminisce about it.

How could she forget!

For the first time since she began to wallow herself in her wicked plans, Peng Xinya felt genuine fear trickled through her. She finally realized that her schemes were full of loopholes. And Bai Ruoxi, that woman had seen through each and every of it.

Peng Xinya's face was drained of color. Suddenly, she struggled and tried to break loose from Ming Lu's hold. Her bloodshot eyes were glaring and she bared her teeth.

"BAI RUOXI! You shouldn't have been born! Xu Liluo should have just been raped and died back then when my mother sent people after her!" She shrieked and thrashed around futilely. "I am the legitimate Bai Young Miss! You're nothing but a slut! I will seduce Uncle Zhen and have him impregnate me right in front of your eyes! I will bear his son and kick you and your slut mother out of my house! The Bai Family is mine! Die, Bai Ruoxi, die!"

When Xu Linlang realized that Peng Xinya had exposed the schemes she had pulled off years ago, her face turned ashen. She wanted to stop her, but it was all too late. Her daughter had spewed those words without giving her any chance to react.

'It's over.' Xu Linlang lost the strength in her body and slumped down on the floor. Her mind was naught as she blankly stared at Bai Ruoxi. She started to wonder whether they had just been dancing on the palm of her hand this whole time.

Bai Ruoxi stayed silent all this time. She wasn't even angry when she heard Peng Xinya's confession about her, but she certainly was outraged when she knew what these people had tried to do to her mother then. Yet Bai Ruoxi didn't let it show on her face. She plastered the same sweet smile on her lips as she continued to consider how she should deal with them.

Death was certainly too easy, she didn't want that. They would need to experience something worse, that death would be the only relief they could get.

"Let's go."

Bai Ruoxi swept her loose hair strands back and turned around to head upstairs, leaving the two men to drag Xu Linlang and Peng Xinya along.

"Young Miss." Doctor Lee sighed, noticing the sinister side of Bai Ruoxi. "What are you going to do with them?"

"I will let them go."

Doctor Lee was surprised, "You will?"

"Of course, I won't." Bai Ruoxi chuckled while the elderly woman's face turned sour. "But for the time being, I will. I already have the proof I needed to lash back on them if they were to blabber nonsense outside."

It meant that Bai Ruoxi would certainly pay them back for what they had done. Not now, but somewhere in the near future. She had to first expose herself to the underworld and strengthen her connection.

"Proof?"

Bai Ruoxi smiled and glanced towards a framed picture on the wall. "These pictures have hidden surveillance camera and recorder in them. They're all over the house, but they haven't been used for a long time."

Bai Ruoxi raised a hand stroke the picture frame gently. "I had a maid to activate it for me while I tried to get Peng Xinya and Xu Linlang to spill their deeds. It's good that their minds were so shallow, I barely did anything."

Doctor Lee was astonished. Bai Rouxi had managed to settle this matter swiftly before they even had the chance progress further. Her actions were clean and composed. She didn't fly into a rage nor acted rash and unreasonable.

Bai Ruoxi certainly had the brain and ability to silently draw fear out of her enemies. She had the full support of the Bai Family, yet her biggest drawback was also them. One mistake and it could be the downfall of Bai & Li Enterprise.

Doctor Lee believed that Bai Ruoxi wasn't a goody two shoes like her grandfather and father. She had the cunning and vicious nature which they lacked. Bai Ruoxi would lead them into a new era, one that dwelled not only in the surface but also the underworld.

And maybe along the way, she would even find somebody to fill the void that Gu Yin had left.
