Panda Dung Tea

Bai Ruoxi was reading a book written in German as she mused on Peng Xinya, her dumb little cousin who thought she could reach the sky even when she's nothing but a tiny worm. She didn't even think twice before spouting such obvious lies to slander Bai Shizhen. Moreover, she was doing it under his roof.

A glint of mirth shone in Bai Ruoxi's eyes as the side of her lips perked up to form a smirk.

Did Peng Xinya and Xu Linlang really think that the Bai's were dumb? Hilarious!

It wouldn't take a genius to realize that they wanted to drive a wedge between Bai Shizhen and Xu Liluo. Their motive in infiltrating the Bai Family probably was to frame Bai Shizhen of having an affair with his niece and had her ended up pregnant. And if they released that news to the press, not only would it ruin Bai Shizhen's image, but also fully tying Peng Xinya to him.

Bai Ruoxi had observed everything silently. The panic in their eyes after the countless rejections of being permitted to stay. The flustered Xu Linlang when Peng Xinya spurted a bunch of unexpected nonsense. Their plan was clearly failing, and it caused Peng Xinya to resort to such extreme lies.

But could it be that they thought the Bai's wouldn't retaliate?

Bai Ruoxi felt a strong urge to laugh and splash cold water onto their faces, then insult them so badly like there's no tomorrow. But she couldn't do that, could she? It would ruin the fun. Bai Ruoxi wanted to let her aunt and cousin think that they had won, that they had successfully fooled the Bai's. She would let them continue being delusional until it was the perfect time to slap them sober.

"Amusing," she murmured.

Bai Ruoxi didn't expect that her mother's side of the family was actually this stupid. But at least Xu Linlang didn't seem to be as dumb and delusional as her daughter. Then who did Peng Xinya take after? Obviously not Peng Zhenya.

Another smirk found its way onto Bai Ruoxi's lips. She contemplated on whether should she help her uncle in discovering the truth.

After a few more minutes of lazing around and securing her plan, Bai Ruoxi got up from the massage chair and headed underground. Maids and butlers were roaming around while the few curious some flocked near the room where Xu Linlang and Peng Xinya resided.

"Young Miss." Ming Lu smiled and greeted Bai Ruoxi from across the room.

When the others heard him, they immediately gathered around her and did the same as well. Bai Ruoxi quickly dismissed them and joined Ming Lu who was enjoying his afternoon tea.

"Slacking off?" Bai Ruoxi raised a brow teasingly, which resulted in the man rolling his eyes.

"Well, a certain person I'm serving likes to hole up in her room now, you see." He sighed with an overly dramatic sad expression, "I rarely even see her anymore... Even though she used to cling onto me and forced me to play with her, accompany her shopping, be her guinea--"

Ming Lu had yet to finish his words when a cookie was stuffed into his mouth. He glared at the young woman across him who acted as if nothing happened.

Bai Ruoxi kept her posture straight with her legs elegantly crossed. She poured herself a cup of tea and gracefully sipped it. A smile bloomed on her lips as she breathed in its fragrant. When the taste of tea reached her tongue, her body felt warm and relaxed.

She put down her cup and leaned on her back. "It's a good tea. What is it?"

"Of course," he answered in the middle of munching another cookie. Bai Ruoxi shook her head and glared, indicating him to swallow it down first. She then reached her hand out for a piece as well and started chewing on it.

After he was done, Ming Lu shifted uncomfortably in his seat, contemplating on whether should he tell Bai Ruoxi the tea brand. After a few seconds of the dilemma, he decided to spill the beans.

"It's called Panda Dung Tea."

"Pfffffttt."

Bai Ruoxi almost spurted out her food and ended up choking on her saliva. She continued to cough while the panicked Ming Lu rubbed and patted her back. After she calmed down, Bai Ruoxi glared daggers onto him. A popping vein could be seen on her forehead. "It's called what tea??"

"Ahem," Ming Lu cleared his throat. His instinct told him to run from this vicious lion cub who was ready to lash out on him anytime soon, but if he did, he might have to suffer her wrath later on. "It's Panda Dung Tea, Young Miss."

"Ming! LU!" Bai Ruoxi snapped.

No wonder it had this nutty flavor which was usually absent from the tea she normally drank. It's poop tea!

The poor man immediately shielded his face with both of his hands, bracing for impact.

"It's not a poop tea, Young Miss!" He exclaimed, trying to save himself from Bai Ruoxi who was already standing right beside him. "They are only using the pandas' poop as fertilizer!"

"Shut up!" Bai Ruoxi started to pinch him on the sides. "I told you not to buy any poop related drink anymore, didn't I?!"

Bai Ruoxi shivered in disgust. Her mind flashed back to the time Ming Lu had tricked her to drink Kopi Luwak, a type of coffee produced from beans which had been partially digested by the Indonesian palm civet and then excreted. In short, poop coffee!

The young and innocent Bai Ruoxi was so traumatized by the fact that she had actually drunk something which originally came from an animal's anus. In the end, not only did Bai Ruoxi stopped talking to him for a week, but he was also forced to throw away the rest of the expensive coffee he bought.

Bai Ruoxi continued to pinch Ming Lu until the latter's skin turned black and blue. He cried in dramatic pain which triggered her to further assault him.

In the middle of it, a sudden sound of breaking glass followed by a scream caused Bai Ruoxi to stop her hands. She turned around to see panicked servants gathering around her aunt and cousin's room.

The man who was assigned to watch over the room immediately approached her and briefly explained the situation. "What should we do, Young Miss?"

Bai Ruoxi didn't answer. Instead, she sat back down and glanced towards Ming Lu who was rubbing his assaulted sides. Bai Ruoxi rested her chin on her palm and tilted her head, a sweet smile on her lips.

"My dear Ming Lu, you look unwell."

Ming Lu rolled his eyes, "Duh. Whose fault do you think it is?"

Another vein popped out on Bai Ruoxi's forehead as she resisted the urge to give him another pinch. She then turned towards the man who was still standing behind her.

"Call Doctor Lee, tell her that our Ming Lu needs her attention immediately."
