"No, you don't understand how severe the situation is, the council will do anything that is within their power to achieve their goal." Heimer's voice interrupted his thought process. He decided to put away the system's notifications and focus on the grumbling midget.
"That might include the life of your loved ones." Jayce's face finally turns serious. A surge of anger washed through him, unconsciously releasing his newly acquired ability, Haoshoku. The supremacy aura, spreading throughout the whole building, the ordinary workers fell unconscious one by one. He would not have cared if the targeting were on him, but the damn pigs want to lay their dirty hand on his mother? UNFORGIVABLE! Even if he must sell his soul to the devil, he would chase them down to the end of earth if any harm were to befall her.
Heimerdinger looks at the scene with a horror expression because he can't move his body at all, as if he were chained up by some invisible power. Technically, the genius professor should have been knocked unconscious by Jayce's Haoshoku, as his strength is only that of an E-Rank, lower than Jayce's. His hex-tech undergarment armor blocked most of the effects emitted by the Haoshoku.
The phenomenon didn't last long, as tides recede to the ocean, the power was then sucked back into Jayce's body.
"Hah....hah." Jayce's with sweat rolling down his face, huffing for air.
'1/3810' His stamina is bottomed out. The side effect of using "Take Over" is still there, with 90% of his stamina gone, he only got 382 worth of stamina. Although he released Haoshoku unconsciously, it still drain his stamina.
After the Haoshoku power stopped, everyone who fell unconscious woke up with a confused expression on their face. "What happened?"
Heimer still sat on his chair, looking at the now breathless boy with a thoughtful expression. Although his strength is weak, the armor is one of his inventions, with the power of hex-tech, he could even protect himself against a peak B-rank. Now, a little boy at 2 years of age, unleashed a power that could intimidate him. How could he not be surprised?
"I know that you are strong, boy. You might have secrets that allowed you to be this powerful at such young age." Heimer said in a low tone.
"But this world is bigger than you think, experts at your caliber or even higher are everywhere. Take the attacks of the void beast as a lesson, you nearly die at the hands of those creatures, if not for a special person that healed you in time, you would have been 6-feet under."
Is Jayce strong? Heimer had been observed the void beast attacks since the beginning. He saw the destruction brought by the creature, but it required time to prepare the necessary countermeasures. He then saw Jayce, from how he carried the carriage while dodging laser beams, how his attacks deal destructive damage to the creatures, to how he tried to fight the gigantic beast. For someone his age, his strength is unparalleled, but in the grand scheme of things, it is not sufficient.
'Sigh, I am still too weak.' Jayce lamented, he thought that he was strong, although not invincible, he should have been able to contest with the powerhouses. This incident left him with an impression of an ant; a powerless ant that can be stepped on at any given moment.
*sobs* Tears stream down his face, as he clenches his fists. These tears are not from fear but frustration. He's frustrated with himself; growing up with a system at hand, he thought he would be invincible, he got so used to staying in his bubble, thinking the world would be at the grasp of his hand. Now, reality gave him a hard slap, the slap was painful, like a child that had been punished, all he could do was bawl his eyes out.
He stood up, then without hesitation knelt in front of Heimerdinger, his head touching the cold floor.
"Professor Heimerdinger, please protect my mother." Stears continued to stream down his face. His thoughts process is that since the target is him, his mother would be safe at the side of the genius inventor, the kingdom would not dare to touch the people of Heimerdinger. He would then run away, far from the kingdom. Once he's strong enough, he will return to extract revenge.
"I will remember this debt *sobs*, for as long as I live, so please *sobs* help me *sobs*." His head bang the hard floor, blood could be seen leaking out.
Seeing this scene, Heimer's gaze softened, and his eyes glistered.
'Sigh, what an admirable character.' For 300 years, Heimer has seen and experienced a lot of things, he has seen various kinds of people. From trust to betrayal, from loyalty to enemy, from love to agony. He had seen it all. This young man, what a rare sight to see such a beautiful soul. Despite possessing incredible power, he doesn't possess a trace of arrogance, he humbled himself, even bowing his head for the sake of his family.
Heimer got up and knelt, lifting Jayce.
"Get up Talis boy, *sigh*, although the situation is grim, it is salvageable," Heimer said with a deep smile on his face. If worse comes to worst, he will prepare to do anything with his power to defend this innocent soul.
*BANG* The door swung open.
"HAHAHA, What an incredible young man!" A rough female voice accompanies with a melody-like voice
"Indeed, the boy is an admirable individual."
Two individuals walked into the room. One is short, the other is tall.
The short individual has pink ponytails hair, two pointed ears, and a hammer in her hand. This is Poppy, from the earlier battle.
The tall, beautiful woman next to her is Soraka.
They had been outside, clearing up the aftermath of the battle when they felt an oppressive fluctuation of power coming from the hospital. The pair thought that another invasion was happening inside the building, but not even a second after, the strange phenomenon disappeared. With confusion, they still rushed to the hospital, tracing the power, they came upon Jace's room. The rest is history.
