"Let's go into the store and get snacks, drinks and a few gallons to fill with fuel. I'm pretty sure soon it will become very rare. The more we get, the better our future will be."

The group had started walking into the convenience store when suddenly Thobias said:

"That does not seem like a good idea. I cannot stop thinking about the fact that we will be in a limited place and that our field of vision will not be one of the best."

Terry and Julie then put a frightened look on their face as Julie said:

"You idiot! You do not have anything better to do than to put fear on us?"

Thobias then laughed as he did not stop sweating in fear of what might happen inside the convenience store.

After a little walk, the group finally entered the convenience store and saw a scene you'd see in Hollywood movies; there were snacks scattered on the floor, everything was messy and broken, plus the immense amount of dried blood that was scattered throughout the store convenience.

Thobias paled and he began to tremble. "What do you guys think of coming in without me? I'll be right outside here and if anything happens to our bus, I can let you know." He said.

Terry then agreed with a mocking expression on his face and said:

"Alright, this could work. You are really brave, Thobias, pretending to always be scared and all, but when in need, you offer yourself to the most dangerous missions. I mean you're going to be totally unprotected from the outside and could die from a zombie at any time. "

Thobias nodded proudly as he began to walk faster until he was only a few feet away from Matthew.

The group then began to laugh as Julie said:

"Why are you going so far ahead, Thobias? I thought you wanted to protect us from something bad that could happen. "

Bethany then laughed at Julie's words as she also started teasing Thobias:

"I'm sure he must be volunteering for Matthew to take the lead and protect us. I think even I'm falling in love."

Thobias ignored all the comments as he followed next to Matthew who suddenly stopped walking and gestured for everyone to stop walking and talking.

A moment of uneasiness arose in the group where everyone expected something to happen. They stood there in the middle of the convenience store, whole body tensed in anticipation of what was to come. After a few seconds of extreme tension, Matthew relaxed again and began to walk. Bethany couldn't help but ask Matthew:

"What just happened? Why did you stop for a moment? My heart almost stopped beating now. "

Matthew then put a serious look on his face as he spoke:

"Little Black raised her head and seemed to be feeling some danger, but after a few seconds she relaxed again. I got a bad feeling about it. Be careful from now on. Something seems to be here. Let's finish doing what we have to do as fast as possible and get out of here."

The group began to shake and check their surroundings while Bethany was sweating but she held even stronger the shield and short katana.

The group stopped teasing each other and reached the counter at the convenience store where they grabbed a few gallons and some empty bags to fill up with everything they could.

The group went through the section of snacks, sweets, drinks; everything that was easy to eat and had a great energetic value they placed in the bags, besides a lot of water and some drinks, so they could have fun or relax if they needed.

The group was preparing to leave, when Thobias remembered something extremely important and said:

"It would be a good idea if we went back and got some medicine on the counter. They could save us in times of need and have a high exchange value in the future, if human civilization really is collapsing, of course."

The group began to worry about how they had not thought of this possibility and what else they might have forgotten would have harmed them. Terry thought for a moment and then said:

"We also need to get some salt. Thank you for reminding us of such important things, Thobias, or we would be really screwed."

The group returned while taking several packets of salt and some medicines; ranging from aspirins, even to tablets of sickness.

When they were getting ready to go out and fill the gallons with gasoline, Little Black raised her head again and they saw something standing near the door of the convenience store.

It was a typical dog you'd see in horror movies; a German Shepherd with one eye was almost falling off his face as it had rotting flesh. Flesh scattered all over its body and it kept drooling while a group of fly flew around him.
