Chapter 38: Identity

As the city of Ur was a rural area, naturally, the human population was sparse, and the natural countryside prevailed most of the time.

The wide-open country space produced fresh air, filling one with a sense of comfort when it was time to take a breather.

Likewise, the space, most of the time, was occupied by large cultivated areas situated around the beautiful blue and crystal clear lakes, where the reddish sunset along with the reddish clouds hovered over the surface.

It was quite a pleasant and memorable scene, especially for the two lovebirds who were huddled near the lakeshore, watching the beautiful sunset.

They were, naturally, Nader and Yue, who had already been on a date together.

Although the village of Ur was not the best place to take someone on a date, Yue, who had long since forgotten the warm feeling of nature, was very grateful for the choice of location.

They had strolled around town holding hands, attracting the attention of anyone who looked at them and making even those who were already married jealous.

Fortunately, however, no one had tried to do anything against them, for if they had, they would not only come away with some bruises, but a certain vampiress might even go so far as to crush their balls for interrupting the beautiful date she had with her beloved.

Thanks to that, they were able to enjoy the tranquility of the village and eat all kinds of food; with Nader feeding Yue, most of the time... Although they were small details on Nader's part, Yue really liked the gesture of affection he showed her.

"Nader, isn't it time to take care of that... yet...?" Yue murmured and stopped rubbing her cheeks against Nader's chest to look into his eyes.

Knowing what the little vampire was referring to, Nader nodded, "I guess so, it was already getting a bit annoying."

Yue began to rub against her chest again as purred like a kitten. At such a sight, Nader smiled before looking to the side.

"You know, stalking a mate during a date is not such an honorable pastime for a dragon race, not at all."

About twenty yards away, behind a tree, Nader caught a glimpse of a dark silhouette that twitched at the mention of such a stalker.

"Dragon? You mean Dragon-men?" Yue stopped abruptly and looked at him with wide eyes of surprise.

"Oh? Didn't I tell you?"

"No!"

'No, this doesn't make me a stalker, no, definitely not'. The woman, who followed two people to their date, repeated herself over and over again as if she wanted to deceive herself.

From the moment the beautiful boy, the golden-haired girl, and the swordswoman left the mountain range area on foot, the woman who was watching them, followed them everywhere from a safe distance, not forgetting to completely hide her aura.

She was also surprised that the golden-haired girl sucked blood from the boy, which meant that she was a real vampire.

This came as a great surprise to the voluptuous woman; for as far as she knew, a war had occurred 300 years ago that killed all vampires. However, it was not so surprising considering that she herself belonged to a tribe that supposedly, 500 years ago had been destroyed.

Although she was very curious about them, she kept silent at all times as she did not want to interrupt the date of the two lovers, who just by their expressions, she could conclude that they were really genuinely in love with each other.

She followed them until the sunset over the horizon. She looked curiously at the boy who was affectionately caressing the girl who was rubbing affectionately against him chest.

As she wondered if she would ever in her life receive so much affection from anyone, the boy looked in her direction, startling her.

'It was just a coincidence. Yes, it must be.'

'You know, stalking someone during a date is not such an honorable pastime for a dragon race, not at all.'

Hearing the words that entered her ears, the woman was startled more than imagined, making her stumble in her seat. Her eyes widened. However, as soon as she calmed down, she sighed.

"Sigh~. Considering there's a vampire there, me being discovered was only a matter of time."

Already discovering her whereabouts, the woman stepped out from behind the tree and her figure was revealed to Nader and Yue, who stared at her. The stalking woman had a slight tinge of embarrassment on her face at being labeled a stalker, and that was a Dragon-man!

She dismissed the imaginary figure of her grandfather sighing in disappointment for his granddaughter and began to walk gracefully towards Nader and Yue.

Yue's intense gaze was fixed on the woman's figure, especially on her two huge breasts that, with every step, swayed majestically, this somehow made Yue feel intimidated.

Under Yue's piercing gaze, sweating her body, the woman arrived in front of them.

"*Cough* I'm really sorry for spying on you from a distance, but I want you to know that I don't want to cause you any harm nor do I possess any malicious intent for your group." She paused to study the expression of the two before her, who remained stoic. "My name is Tio Klarus, a dragon-man of the «Klarus Clan»".

Since Yue already knew about her from Nader's mouth, she was not surprised by the woman's introduction.

"... To think that the noble and wise dragon-men would degrade to mere stalkers in these 500 years," Yue muttered regretfully, a fake tear welled up in her eyes that was quickly wiped away by Nader.

There was no one nobler and wiser than the dragon men; this fact was known to all within «Tortus». And Yue, as a noble vampire, was raised from a young age in the nobility of the dragon-men, so she had great respect and admiration for them. But after being stalked by one of the dragon-men during the date with her lover, she couldn't help but rethink whether that fact was real or a farce.

'Ugh. I'm not a stalker! I'm one of the proud dragon-men.' The woman affirmed in her mind and squeezed her chest as if a sharp sword had stabbed her. Even so, she continued to look at the girl with interest, "Hoho... I never expected that I would see the mythical race of vampires again, and even more so Queen Aletia."

The instant Yue heard Tio's words, her little body shuddered as did her eyes, only to calm down when she felt Nader hug her tighter from behind.

"Yue... Yue is the name that the person I hold most dear has bestowed upon me. So use that name." stated Yue with a small smile brimming with happiness.

Nader also smiled and stroked her head.

Before Tio could say anything, Yue asked, "How did you find out?".

"Golden-haired, little girl, and over three hundred years old. There is only one vampire who fits these descriptions. Of course, you didn't seem to want to hide this fact from me either, since you were sucking your lover's blood at all times."

"Little, fufu...". Yue smiled ghoulishly with her golden bangs covering her eyes. Seeing this spectacle, Tio's body shuddered, and she thought had messed up where shouldn't have.

Lest the course of action be repeated like when Shizuku had stepped on her tail, Nader sighed and squeezed Yue's cheeks as he turned his gaze towards Tio.

"Since you've introduced yourselves, it's my turn. I'm Nader, someone ordinary who had the chance to be Yue's lover."

"Fufu..." Yue let out a small amused laugh at her beloved's introduction.

"Hoho..." Even the dragoness smiled and looked Nader up and down, not believing his bland introduction. "For the mistress of the most powerful vampire, you'll be anything but ordinary."

Nader merely shrugged, not intending to do much explaining to a new acquaintance.

"So why were you following us? I can assume you need something from us, right?" asked Nader, getting straight to the point of what he wanted to know.

"From what I've seen, you're embarking on an adventure, so can I travel with-?"

"Hell, no!"

"Ugh, instant rejection!"
