Ep-1

The weather was great. Cool breeze blowed the hair out of his face, Samuel was driving his car on the road covered by trees. He was jamming to soft music.

He was quite excited as he was reaching closer to his destination.

The place where everything started.

Soon he saw a car coming from the opposite direction. As the road was narrow, it was difficult for two cars to pass together. So he slowed his car down but the other car didn't slow down.

He waited but started panicking when it didn't slow down. There was chance of the cars crashing at this point.

As the car reached closer, both of them turned in the opposite direction to prevent the hit. Samuel's car was slower so it didn't hit the tree that hard but on the other hand, the other car was faster so it hit with a great impact.

Samuel quickly got out of the car and ran towards the other. He tried to open the door but it was locked.

He went back to his car to find anything to break the window. He came back with a crowbar and broke the window on the right side.

As he opened the door, he saw a girl unconscious in the driving seat. He got inside the car and pulled her out as smoke was filling it up.

He carried the girl to his own car and laid her on the back seat. That's when he finally got the chance to see her face.

" Maria. " He whispered. It had been a month since their meeting.

He checked her pockets to see if she had her phone but it wasn't there. He ran back to her car and searched for it.

He found it beneath the passenger seat. He ran back to his car and drove it towards the nearest hospital.

On the way, he called his friend, " Hello, Jake. Can you come to the road 95 outside Parker Town. You will see a damaged car there. Take it to Uncle Wang. "

He cut the call and checked Maria again. She was still unconscious. He soon reached the hospital and took her bridal style inside.

The doctors rushed towards them. A senior doctor recognised her and asked the nurse to call her father.

The moment Samuel heard it, he wanted to leave but a nurse stopped him, " Sir, you are bleeding. "

He touched his forehead. He had slight blood on his fingers. ' I must have hit my head on the window when the car hit the tree. ' He thought.

The nurse took him to treat his wound. As he was leaving he saw a formally dressed man passing through the corridor. He seemed to be in a rush.

He turned around to see him go inside Maria's room, " So, there is someone in the world that Mr.Jay Parker loves. " A small smirk came on his face.

Although it wasn't part of the plan, he decided to go check on Maria.

He knocked softly on the door.

" Come in. " A soft melodious voice came which made his heart skip a beat.

He took a deep breath before walking in. Maria saw him coming inside and was quite confused.

" Are you alright? " He asked with concern. ' Why did it hurt to see her like this? ' He thought.

" Yes, I am fine. What are you doing here? " She looked at him.

" So you forgot the one who saved your life, huh. " He showed a fake hurt expression and put a hand on his chest.

" Oh, it was you, Samuel. " Maria said smiling. She suddenly felt a tingly sensation in her heart.

" You know him, Princess? " Jay spoke eyeing Samuel up and down.

" Yeah, I met him in the city about a month ago, right? " She looked at Samuel who nodded.

" Hello Sir, my name is Samuel Kim. Pleasure to meet you. " He brought his hand to shake Jay's hand.

" Pleasure is all mine. " Jay replied with a smile.

Maria couldn't help but feel an intense emotion coming from Samuel but shrugged it off.

Her brother entered breaking the tension in the room.

" You alright, Pumpkin? " Mark came beside Maria and caressed her head. She nodded and smiled.

Mark sighed, " You should have asked the driver to take you. How did this happen anyway? "

" I don't know, I lost control of the car. The break wasn't working and when a car came from the opposite direction I panicked. " Maria replied.

" WHAT? " Mark gasped.

" What? " Maria furrowed her eyebrows.

" I just checked every car this morning, everything was working. How come the break failed? " Mark said in a confused tone.

" Maybe someone tempered with it. " Samuel said from behind.

The three of them looked at him. Jay immediately called his secretary, " Check all the cameras of the house, see who went to the garage, Quickly. "

" Who is he? " Mark whispered to Maria.

" Samuel. He saved my life. " Mark just nodded his head.

" So, are you here for vacation, Mr.Kim . " Jay asked after hanging up the call.

" No, I bought some land here. I am building a house here. " Samuel replied.

" Which land? " Jay asked.

" The one near the canal. " Samuel said.

" Oh, so you are the buyer? " Mark stood up and came towards them.

" That land was sold? " Jay raised an eyebrow.

" Yeah, you told me to sell it. I wasn't expecting it to have a buyer in just twenty days. " Mark smiled.

But Jay looked upset, " Are you sure you want to buy that land? Its quite secluded. " He asked.

" Yes, I like living in such a place. That's the reason I bought it. " Samuel calmly replied.

There was a silence until Samuel decided to break it.

" I should leave now, I have to find a place to live until my house is building. " Samuel said and turned to leave.

" Where will you live? " Jay asked.

" Probably a hotel or an Inn. " He shrugged his shoulders.

" Why don't you come and live with us? " Jay asked.

Maria was surprised by this. Even Mark widened his eyes.

" Thank you but I don't want to burden you. " Samuel smiled.

" Its nothing like that. You saved my daughter's life, I can do this much. " Jay requested.

" Umm. " Samuel was about to say something but Jay cut him off, " Please. "

Samuel seemed to think for a minute before he said, " Alright. "

" Great. Let me make arrangements. " Jay said with a grin.

" Let me make a call to my friend so he can bring your car to your house. " Samuel said to Maria before he left.

" What just happened? " Maria looked at her brother.

" I don't know but something is fishy. Dad never let anyone in the house so soon. " Mark replied narrowing his eyes at his father.

Samuel got to the end of the corridor and stood in front of the tall window which gave a view of the park outside.

He dialled Jake's number, " Hello, bro. I have something to tell you. "

" What? " Jake replied.

" I got inside their house. " Samuel said with a small smirk dancing on his lips.
