Chapter 5

Being asked the question once more and seeing their guard getting injured just because he tries to help her, the lady couldn't help but begin to tremble in fear with her lips shaking uncontrollably, and seeing how she is acting, the bald man couldn't help but feel pleased with himself.

"Don't worry, as long as you are willing to tell me what I need to know, I promise not to lay a hand on you" said the bald man with a smile.

The lady nodded her head in fear before moving her gaze to the inn and noticing the way she was looking at it, the bald man got the feeling that's where the queen is hiding as he turned back to the lady to confirm things only for her to nod her head in response.

"Alright then, you can go do your stuff as promised and that's for all of you" ordered the bald man as he dismissed everyone before taking a walk towards the inn with a serious look on his face.

He had just walked to the door and was just about to knock it down but before he could, the door suddenly smashed him in the face as he was sent flying back while groaning in pain.

"I guess I should have informed the others first before going in" the bald man muttered to himself as he rose on his feet.

"I can't believe you call yourself a guard" said queen Jeanie with a deep frown on her face as she took a step out of the inn with Jason staying behind. 

"Oh no you don't" she said with her leg pressed on the ground before pushing forward at top speed when seeing the bald man trying to use the communication talisman.

Hitting it off his hand, queen Jeanie gave him a good beating before letting him go after making sure that he won't be able to walk for some time due to the broken bones.

"You are lucky that you are not my enemy, I doubt that you would be able to walk out of here alive. Now get your dirty ass out of this place" she said after she was done with the beating. 

Managing to get on his feet, the bald man didn't even waste time looking at her as he quickly ran out of the village in fear of getting on the queen's bad side. After he had left the village, queen Jeanie went to the middle-aged man who could hardly stand on his feet. She took out a pill and passed it to him.

"I'm sorry for causing you pain, please take this pill, it would be useful in healing up your injuries" queen Jeanie said. 

"I don't need your pill, just take your son and leave us alone" replies the middle-aged man as he refuses to take the pill.

"You don't need to remind me about that, for I plan on leaving since we will be endangering your lives so do you mind accepting the pill as a way of forgiving us from causing you pain" said queen Jeanie.

Even when she agreed on leaving the village, the middle-aged man still refused to take the pill which kind of saddened her but since she can't force him to accept the pill, queen Jeanie decided to give it to the lady who sold them bread and wild food before calling Jason over.

"I will advise you to take that pill now that things have not worsened since the attack that was influenced on you was from a celestial cultivator, it would be difficult for you to find any herb here in the lower heaven that would be able to treat you back to your top force" she said before bowing to the villagers and left the place as they had in the opposite path that the bald man took.

Meanwhile, after getting far from the village not making sure that he is out of the queen's senses, the bald man took out the communication talisman and infused a little bit of his spiritual energy into it.

"Were you able to locate where the queen is hiding"? Asked a deep voice from the talisman.

"Yes commander, she seems to be taking shelter in a small village in the lower heaven but I don't think she would be staying for long" replied the bald man while not talking about the part where he confronted her and was beaten badly.

"Good job. Now I want you to keep a tab on her until I arrive at the lower heaven" said commander Eric proudly.

When hearing commander Eric ordering him to keep tabs on the queen, the bald man couldn't help but tremble in fear as he began to speak in a shaking tone.

"But commander, how am I supposed to keep an eye on her when she can easily find me out, and let's not forget that she is a lot stronger than me".

"Then summon the others, I believe in that way the ten of you would be able to hold her down until I make it there" replied commander Eric in disdain when hearing the guard complaining.

The bald man agreed to his suggestions before ending their communication.

"Since she let me go, if she finds out that I'm stalking her, then all that would be left of me would be death. Why do I volunteer to come here in the first place" he said to himself as he began to try making community with the other guards.

After telling them the new order that the commander has given them, the bald man let out a deep breath before sitting on the ground cross leg with a pill in his mouth as he begin to recuperate and after an hour of meditation, he was back to his peak and just after his recovery, the other guards have already arrived. 

"Alright, now that we have all gathered, let's continue with the task before the commander's arrival" said the bald man as he stopped his meditation.
