Chapter 49: Paris Seeks Maria's Attention
For the first time in his life, Paris rolled his eyes.
He threw his utensils on the plate.
The loud clanking startled Maria.
The president pushed the plate of half-eaten delicacy away from him. “I’m done.”
Those green eyes stared at him like a parent watching her kid throwing a tantrum. “Did you not like it?”
The prince shot a sarcastic smile. “Do I look like I do?”
Maria nodded. “You just said it was good.” She put another slice in her mouth and chewed nonchalantly with poise.
“I changed my mind.” Paris threw the napkin on the table and stood. “Why are you still eating? Are you dumb? I need to get ready for class.”
Confused and frustrated, Maria hastily stood and cleared away the half-eaten food.
The personal maid stood at his side as the prince went through his gallery of watches.
