On The Arrival To Be Lab 2
"How long would it take before the results are ready?" Xavier asked.
"Not too long, the least is less than an hour," Victoria said as she went to her desk.
Then she went into a small room through a door to run the test.
Just then, a shrill ringing tone was heard around the room and Lieutenant Reil picked his phone from his pocket.
"Yes," he put it on his ear and said.
"Okay," he then handed the phone to the Alpha.
"Hello?" Xavier frowned.
Tashina didn't know who was behind the line but whatever the person was saying made Xavier unusually tense.
Suddenly, Tashina felt his body freeze in shock and she turned her gaze to him to see him clenching his jaw.
"Okay," he muttered lowly before he removed the phone from his ear.
"Xavier, are you okay? Who was that?" Tashina had to ask.
Xavier didn't say anything and merely looked down as though all the world's problems had come on his shoulder.
