Spheris lay on the clinic bed, ignoring the rustling sound and the footsteps of the nurse working beside him, it had faded into the backdrop, a blur of noise.

His eyes were fixed on the ceiling above as he lay there in silence, but it wasn't the sterile white of the room that held his attention; rather, he was engrossed in the flickering interface that hovered in his vision.

The words before him showed the countdown of when next he could use the [Thrust Of Twilight] Influence.

Now, it showed; [100 days, 2395 hours, 143700 minutes, 8622000 seconds.]

Still he stared at it. Like it was his savior. An Influence like that meant that he could defeat any opponent, no matter how weak he was. But... he could only use it once in a hundred days.

What would he do if he ran into another assassin? One even stronger than Bestar Ivyssis?
