The wails and cries of Active Demons swallowed the premises of the bone gate.

Some Demons left their hosts and began to fight back. Others tried to possess the Bearers but ended up clashing against a mystical shield encased around their soul.

The ones still inside the marshals trashed out violently. Their hosts moved with erratic force, launching frenzied attacks that were fairly harder to predict and dodge.

One marshal attacked Spheris at close range, only to be met with a shadowy tendril of [Embrace] that wrapped around his torso.

Spheris [Whispered] behind him and slammed him hard into the ground.

Once the Demon retreated out of the host, Daria was there on time to capture it in her Prison Sphere. She shared a nod with Spheris, and they both returned to the action.

Another attempted to strike Lirael, but was repelled by the storm barrier, the crackling energy sending him stumbling backward.
