Chapter 96

Dan walked behind the woman not even hiding the fact that he was staring at her ass anymore. "Why did that man call you a whore?" he asked. Dan inwardly cursed himself. He wanted to start a casual conversation but he started it of terribly.

"Because I am a whore." the woman replied her voice apathetic.

Dan wanted to ask what she meant but he did not want to further question her. After a serious debate inside his head the verdict came that he should ask what she meant.

"What do you mean? Did you sleep with a lot of men?"

"Yes, I am a prostitute that sells her body for money."

Dan licked his lips as they had become dry and pulled on his super light leather jacket by the collar and exhaled.

"Damn, today is a really hot day."

He gulped down the saliva that was in his throat.

After a while of walking Aravis stopped in front of a crumbled building that had only two walls still standing.

"This is the apothecary, can I leave?" she asked.

"Sure but before you do I need to ask you a seriously important question."

Her eyes did not change as they were still apathetic and held no emotions.

"What is it?" she asked.

"How much do your services cost?"

"400 lokni's per 20 minutes." the woman said.

Dan raised an eyebrow. He had no idea what Lokni's were. "Is that the local currency?" he asked.

"Yes."

"I don't have that. Ihave gold, Do you take gold?"

"Yes I do!"

Jessie and Sylvie's battle raged on as they exchanged blows and kicks each trying to get the upper hand on the other. Sylvie uprooted a tree and swung it around easily trying to squash Jessie like a bug. Jessie dodged the tree attacks which destroyed the ground beneath her each time it hit the ground.

She kicked a rock that was on the floor at Sylvie who did not bother dodging it and caught it in her teeth crushing it.

She then spat out the smaller rocks at Jessie using it as ammunition. Jessie weaved effortlessly and closed the distance between her and Sylvie. Sylvie threw the tree into the air and raised her hands to catch Jessie's leg, however it was a feint. Jessie's legs disappeared within a split second crashed into Sylvie's chin.

Sylvie moved backwards and created some distance. She created the distance in order to let the tree fall down. Jessie moved backwards and dodged the tree. She then moved forward using the tree as an obstacle to hide herself from Sylvie's vision.

If only Sylvie was not experienced and well versed in battle would have this been an advantage.

As Jessie used the tree as cover a fist came through it and connected with her nose.

She fell backwards as blood dripped from her nose.

'I thought she was using the tree as a weapon, I didn't think that the tree would be used to block my vision, she really is experienced in combat.'

Sylvie's attack did not stop. She burst through the tree and delivered a butterfly kick to Jessie's face. She then launched herself into the air and spun around delivering an axe kick to Jessie's skull.

She then punched Jessie in the stomach but Jessie had already recovered and dodged leaving Sylvie to punch the air.

As their fight raged on the ground shook and the environment only became worse and worse.

A figure descended from the sky and Jessie moved just in time to dodge a sword strike which split the ground in two for quite a distance.

Sylvie and Jessie stopped their fight and glanced over at the guy who just arrived.

"Is he with you?" Jessie asked Sylvie.

"I know him but he's not with me, this is my fight." Sylvie turned to Joshua and asked. "What are you doing here? Were you not fighting someone else?"

"And I told you to stop attacking people did I not?"

"I did not attack anyone, our fight was mutually agreed on."

"It doesn't matter, we have bigger fish to fry let's go," Joshua turned to Jessie and bowed and apologised on Sylvie's behalf. He left a confused Jessie to watch as he dragged Sylvie away who still wanted to fight.

Jessie continued watching for a while as Joshua and Sylvie struggled for a while until they were finally out of her sights.

"Enfor..." a voice softly spoke. Jessie turned around to see who it was. A beautiful winged woman was kneeling on the ground holding a head.

Jessie quickly turned around and used her super speed to disappear before she caught the winged woman's attention.

Dan pulled up his trousers and flicked a gold coin at Aravis. "I needed that, I haven't had any action in several months."

Aravis got of her knees and walked of not even bothering to speak back.

After quite a while Dan had stolen quite a lot of medicinal herbs. He tucked them away in his inventory and walked to the dungeon portal.

He decided to read the description on the status to see what was written there.

Just as Dan was about to enter he heard a loud voice shouting. "Wait!"

Dan turned around to see Jessie running at him. She was running at normal speed from her point of view but to Dan it was really fast. Dan only saw a fast approaching object and turned to the dungeon. He quickly went inside it. Jessie increased her speed and just managed to grab Dan's leg.

She then fell into the portal herself as she could not kill her momentum instantly.
