Chapter 16 – Awakened
They are not told to stop that, and they still do an excellent job serving the guests. Children who like to play often ignore what their parents say and keep playing as if they don't know anything. They dance and play while being watched by adults.
Samuel walked up to Sonia, sitting on a couch, and asked, "What's wrong, sister?" He was worried because he didn't sit with the other kids. Samuel tried to make Sonia feel better by holding her face while she was red. He asked Sonia if she was sick and told her she shouldn't attend the opening ceremony.
Sonia said she was all right. She was too excited and put all her energy into one thing. Sonia didn't ask Samuel's mood to change because of how she looked. Because they are related, he is the most sensitive child.
"It's strange that if one of us is sick, the other will feel the same way," Samuel said, holding his forehead. He asked if there was any pain in his body, so Samuel wanted to check it out for himself. Sonia looked at her sister and asked Samuel to join the other kids in playing.
She didn't want her sister to be upset by how she acted. They enjoyed the party until very late at night. After the opening ceremony, they were told to go to sleep. Tomorrow, there will be a group practice. Samuel tried hard not to fall asleep.
He couldn't figure out what was wrong with Sonia until he realized that Samuel had slept in the same clothes he had worn to work. When Sonia saw that, she woke up her sister and told her to get changed. But he looked like a living corpse and was making loud snoring noises.
"Oh, never mind," Sonia said, giving up. She did it alone without anyone's help because she had been doing it since she was a child, unless their mother told the maids to wear certain clothes.
Sonia was tired and wanted to see Samuel in a dream to talk. When the warm water touched his skin, he felt so relaxed that he fell asleep. So shocked were they that they looked up and saw a stranger. Sonia shoved the young man to the ground.
"What do you do?" Sonia pointed at the young man sitting on his bed and asked, "Who is that?" She saw that the room was big, but only one bed was there. Sonai took a standing lamp and gave it to the young man.
He repeatedly asked her, "What's wrong, sister?" Sonia looked at herself in the mirror and saw that she had become a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress. Those eyes can be recognized if the owner is careful. She immediately knew the young man was Samuel by looking at the birthmark behind his ear.
"What happened at yesterday's party?" Sonia held the lamp up so Samuel wouldn't come near her and asked. He sat down to fix his position so he wouldn't seem in the way of his movement and thought for a moment.
"Well, what about that holiday festival?" asked Samuel, defending himself. Sonia nodded her head. Samuel explains what happened and that the event was a good time. She dealt with the confusion and told Samuel to leave the room because Sonia was about to get ready.
Before Samuel leaves, he tells Sonia to remember that the king wants them to have their debut. Sonia was glad that her twin sister had told her to be careful. She went to the bathroom and put the mirror on the wall there. Sonia can still see her mother making love to another man in her mind.
Before the opening ceremony, she was busy looking for her mother to replace her father, who could not do the opening because of his condition. Samuel didn't know that she went to a place where they often played hide and seek. Sonia found one open door among the others.
She heard a strange sound, and when she looked, she saw that her mother was kissing one of the nobles who had come to the event. Sonia saw what was happening, so they stopped when they heard another footstep coming. She didn't know why she still closed the door after it opened.
Sonia ran to find Samuel and told him to go to their father's room. She also said to him that his mother was nowhere to be found. Iaros took his kids to the opening ceremony and stayed there until the event ended. What is on her mind when she thinks about the event, but not in a good way?
Sonia got out of bed and turned on the water faucet while crying loudly. She didn't know what to do when she heard about it. She didn't dare tell Samuel or anyone else this. Sonia couldn't imagine how her father would feel hearing that.
[Knock knock]
Sonia looked between the doors and slowly opened the door to make sure her dad was still sleeping. Iaros was sitting on the bed as usual and reading a book when his grown daughter peeked at him.
Iaros said, "Come in." He didn't want his daughter to stand there and block the way for people who had been cleaning their room since early evening. Sonia walked up to the door and shut it again. Iaros saw the girl acting strangely and didn't look in good shape.
"Do you feel bad?" Sonia shook her head and asked about her father's health, which didn't seem to be getting better. She suggested staying home and planned to miss school for a few days to care for her father.
Even though he didn't know why the princess acted so strangely, euros appreciated it and didn't insist on knowing what was happening. He was happy even when someone joined him in that always quiet room. Just as Sonia asked if she didn't have to go to school, the door banged open from the outside.
Samuel yelled for his sister, who was his twin. When she saw many people paying attention to the noisy boy, Sonia hit him on the shoulder to not wake their sleeping father. Samuel put his hand over his mouth and stopped moving like a statue.
He didn't want his mother to hear someone rudely shouting around the big house like it was a jungle. Iaros laughed at how carefree they usually were.
"Why aren't you still wearing your uniform?" asked Samuel.
"Sonia will be with me for a few days in the room." Answer: Iaros stands for. Samuel had offered himself and did not want to attend school with his sister. Sonia refused, though. Because if he stayed there all day, things would get out of hand.
Iaros heard that Samuel had made some mistakes when throwing a party ten years ago, all because of one game of archery. He didn't like it when people said things that put him in a corner, so he defended himself by saying that a few children had rigged the game.
"You're an idiot," Sonia said to Samuel, almost angrily hitting him.
The fraud he meant couldn't be looked into in more detail because Sonia, William, the head of the house, and his mother said guests couldn't commit fraud. The host organizers could have set a trap during the if that happened game.
Samuel didn't say anything because he didn't know what to say. He left by saying that he had to go to school. Sonia gave Samuel the missing textbook, but she wanted to know if the boy had listened to her before he disappeared from view.
The maids had finished cleaning the room and went on to their next job. Sonia got comfortable and picked up a book to read. She had breakfast in her father's room and did almost everything in that room except go to the bathroom.
"Dad, is there nothing else you want to tell us?" Sonia looked at the man, who hadn't changed, and asked. She did her homework and kept studying independently by borrowing a desk that wasn't used much.
Maids' skills were rarely put to use when cleaning rooms. The things there had been well taken care of and could still be used. Iaros was at a loss for what to tell his daughter.
"My daughter, do you want to say something?" Iaros asked as he put the book down. They said hello because there was nothing else to say, and then they went back to do things that had been put off.
Sonia stayed in that room for several days and couldn't find evidence of her father's words. Samuel was shocked that the girl didn't eat any of her food.
"By the way, how much longer are you going to be out of school?" Samuel asked. He didn't like it when people in their class asked where Sonia was when she didn't show up to class.
They were both born on the same day, just minutes apart. They were always together, and Samuel always cared for his older sister.
He felt lost and alone as if he had no place in his life anymore. But Sonia still couldn't answer Samuel's question. He was torn between his love for his sister and his newfound independence. Sonia wanted to be by Samuel's side.
