What Ivy hadn't felt in a long time was having Derion on her lap while he slept. Yeah, on the way home from the country, Derion slept soundly in Ivy's lap. She was very happy to be able to hold her son after a long time of not feeling it.
She stroked her fine hair as she looked at Derion's peacefully closed eyes. He even went to sleep without being woken up by the shaking in the horse-drawn carriage.
"He seems tired," said Theodoric, who was looking at him.
Ivy nodded as she looked at the several shopping bags of books that Derion had selected and bought. "Look how many books he bought," said Ivy.
"Well, that is fine. Besides, at least the books can be added to the palace library, right?" said Theodoric.
