Chapter 09: The Elder Sister

Meanwhile, Dhruv who was peacefully leaning against the cavern wall in his secret hideout suddenly woke up startled because of the loud noises and vibrations taking place on the outside, he quickly stood up in a ready state to run away even at the slightest sign of danger or suspicion, after a while he sighed in relief as the loud noises and vibrations were coming from the outside where the 3 tunnels leading outside were located.He tried carefully listening to the loud noises to make out what was happening outside, so he tried pressing his left ear to the wall where the sealed cavity leading to the outside was located. He started hearing the noises a bit clearly, there were a lot of sounds mixed in the loud noises, from what he could make out there were sounds of metal colliding with metal which seemed like some people were fighting each other, and another sound was like a hammer hitting something like a glass and shattering it followed by several loud eerie explosions of loud screaming and cursing people.Hearing all those sounds and noises made Dhruv even more confused and nervous, he was unable to imagine or explain what the heck was going on outside anymore, so he chose to ignore all the loud noises and vibrations but at the same time cautiously wait for them to completely stop, after that he would try to sneak a peak outside and at the same time look for any signs of sunlight light coming from the ceiling holes to confirm the time whether it was already day or not. He didn't want to stay in this wretched place any longer.After a while, the noises finally stopped, but he didn't let down his guard and waited for a while longer just in case they resumed once again, after waiting for a while, the noises finally stopped, and the cavern once again returned to its eerie silence where there were no other sounds except for the sound of his breathing and the sound of groundwater droplets dripping from the stalactites hanging from the cavern ceiling, onto the water puddle formed bellow it.He finally made up his mind to quickly check on the outside, so he slowly placed aside the stone cover placed over the cavity hole on the wall and started crawling his way outside, after pushing the stone cover on the other side he slowly and cautiously got out of the cavity completely stepping in the large cavern from where the various loud noises were coming.When he cautiously looked around while trying to keep himself hidden by squatting down, he couldn't spot anyone, the entire area was heavily damaged and looked like a battlefield of monsters, while surveying the area he looked at the cavern ceiling and through the holes in the ceiling he could see the color of dawn slowly emerging from them.He let out a deep sigh of relief as he did not want to stay here any longer. So he quickly decided to head outside through the tunnel leading towards the market area as the rumored bandits mustn't be there during the day.He quickly started jogging in hushed footsteps, his heart was beating very fast right now with a mix of fear, anxiety, and hope. After a while when he was nearing the entrance of the tunnel leading to the outskirts of the city near the market area…..he slowed down his pace and put up his guard to not make the same kind of mistake as before which almost got him killed for his carelessness.After a while when he got to the entrance of the cavern tunnel, he saw many black ops agents donning black high-tech armor, almost instantly he heard one of the black ops agents looking at him and shout"Who are you? Identify yourself and what are you doing here quickly while kneeling on the ground and putting your hands behind your head!".He started panicking at the sudden turn of events, but at least he remembered who they were and they meant no harm to him, so he quickly got on his knees and put his hands behind his head, "Im Dhruv Brahmaputra, I wa-" before he could even complete his sentence "What are you doing here Dhruv and how the hell did you get yourself into this mess!!" said Nikita in an angry tone as she appeared in front of him in a golden flash,"I was, I was-" before he could again complete his sentence "The time-space resonance that was sensed earlier must be you doing right?" she cut him off and started deeply into his eyes as if staring right into his very soul. "Hmm I can sense that your soul has been awakened, did you perform the Atma-Vidhi by yourself? You must be out of your goddamn mind!" she yelled at him while tightly holding his collar and bringing his face closer to hers while continuing to stare at him with an intensely wrathful expression and narrowed eyes."I'm sorry sis" said Dhruv while looking down so as to not meet her eyes, as he already knew who she was and why she was so angry at him, she was Nikta Brahmaputra his elder sister who was 6 years older than him so it was only natural for her to be mad at him after finding about what he did and also in such a situation.Meanwhile, Nikita took several deep breaths to calm herself down and try not beat the shit out of him in front of so many people, "You have a lot more to explain after we get back home! For now, tell me what did you do? How did you cause such a large time-space disturbance? As there is no doubt it must be your doing", said Nikita after taking deep breaths and calming her mind,"I don't understand what you are saying sis, what time-space disturbance?" asked Dhruv in a confused and doubtful tone, "Are you playing dumb or do you really don't know?" said Nikita in an irritated tone. "I really don't know sis" replied Dhruv in a genuine tone, seeing his genuinely ignorant face she sighed a calmly said "Try to remember, you must have done something to trigger a time-space flow alteration like reversing, freezing or fast-forwarding time", after hearing that he instantly thought of the Time Reversal done by the Guide when he was almost killed by the hooded psychopath."Ohh, I-I do remember doing something like that," replied Dhruv in an extremely nervous tone as he didn't know if there were any side effects or consequences for his actions, "So It was really you! Do you even know what kind of mess you have created for doing that? Due to the difference in time-space flow between the 1 km affected area and the outside area, there are currently several time-space distortions and spatial rifts appearing and disappearing at random all around the 1 km area!Several people had been already sucked into such rifts and stuck in those time-space distortions which froze them in time and kept distorting their age ultimately disintegrating them into nothingness" she said angrily, he instantly felt chills down his spine just by imagining the consequences of his actions but he didn't regret it as his life was more important to him at that time and he had no other way to get out of that situation, "I'm really sorry sis, but I would've died if I didn't do that, I had no other way" said Dhruv in an extremely gloomy and guilty tone.After seeing the guilty and helpless expression on his face, "Sigh, now that we have found out the cause of the time-space disturbance the mission can now be concluded, all of you return back to the headquarters and inform your superiors about the mission completion, I will handle the rest." calmly said Nikita to the rest of the black ops agents who were present there and listening to their conversation, "Yes mam" they all replied in unison and quickly took off on their respective vimaan."Let's go, and you better prepare yourself for some proper explanations or you are going to get some nice ass-whooping from Grandpa and Mother," she said in a playfully serious tone which made him gulp out of instinct. She then took out a small palm-sized curved triangular golden metallic disc covered in numerous runic patterns and circuits, she injected her spiritual energy into it which caused the runic patterns to glow after which she threw it on the ground, and as soon as it landed on the ground the disc started enlarging to a size of 0.5 meter in length and 1 meter in width.He recalled from his past memories that it was called a vimaan which was like a personal hoverboard, like those in sci-fi movies from Earth. While he was staring at the vimaan "Why are you still standing there staring at my vimaan? Don't tell me you lost or broke yours" she asked in a questioning tone, "No I have it, can I fly with you? I don't feel like I can properly fly by myself" he said after finally noticing that he too was wearing a spatial bracelet on his wrist which he had totally overlooked all this time,as he was going through lots of things simultaneously that gave him no time to properly pay attention to himself. He could easily sense all the things that were inside his bracelet which included his own vimaan. Although he could remember himself flying his vimaan with ease in the past, but things were different now as just remembering and doing things himself were 2 different things."Alright, I don't want you to cause any more trouble, you are such a troublemaker sigh~" She sighed and let him stand in front of her over her vimaan, and then tapped her left foot once which made the vimaan start floating and an invisible windshield automatically covered the entire vimaan like a bubble, she then pressed her left foot towards the front which increased the speed at which the vimaan flew vertically, as soon as they were at an altitude of 100 meters above the ground she moved her right foot in the direction of the city which caused the vimaan to also move in that direction where her right foot was pointing, and thus they both started flying towards the city over her vimaan.
