In Natasha's eyes, what always happened in her life would happen again, but what surprised both her and Nick Fury, who didn't really want to negotiate with Natasha; Herick smiled and said:

—  Nick Fury, you underestimate me too much, don't treat me like a pawn or like cattle, I know very well what you think, and if I wanted to negotiate with you, I wouldn't be human, Nick Fury, you must know that there is a difference between a president and a drug dealer, right?

Nick Fury stayed quiet, but Herick continued:

—  What you from SHIELD will do is this: first, Natasha is mine; second, remove all the spies, yours and mine, from both our countries; third, I give you carte blanche to expose all the corrupt officials in my country. I don't want to admit it, but Brazil is very behind in technology.

Nick Fury got angry and said:

—  And why should we obey you?

Herick laughed and said:

—  Our conversation is being recorded. If you don't do what I say, I will start the Third World War. Don't think I'm bluffing. Everyone in the meeting has signed my terms. I owe something to Putin; I think he would be pleased with everyone at the UN, with carte blanche and compelled to bomb your nation.

Nick Fury replied:

—You think your country has that much power? Your nation can't do anything against the United States.

Herick responded:

—  Maybe not, but I bet China and Russia would love to drop a few bombs on your country, with the support of Brazil's resources. And with the threat that countries not participating in the war will face sanctions from Brazil, Japan will have to join, along with other countries that depend on mine for food.

Nick Fury was now truly panicked. This could actually trigger a world war, something he never imagined a country he didn't care about could do. Since everything Herick said was true, he would have to lower his head. But Herick continued:

—  Long live agribusiness. Did you know that Dubai is totally dependent on Brazil for food? It would be terrible if the investors there left your country to support Russia and China. How terrible, how many people would die of hunger and in the war?

Herick couldn't stop himself. He was relishing in crushing Nick Fury and his sense of control:

—  Imagine the reaction of the CIA, FBI, and the White House. By the way, do you think Amanda Waller would make a great director for SHIELD? Or the fact that you hide extraterrestrials in your own country. The world would be shocked. I can already see a headline in an American newspaper - "The country that hunts mutants but embraces aliens that can transform into other people." I envision it with Skrulls, the hidden race, at the top of that newspaper.

Nick Fury was now truly furious. This could destroy the nation and himself. But he bravely retorted:

—  Who are you? How do you know all this, and do you have any proof?

Herick, with a happy smile, replied:

—  I am the President of Brazil, the one whom you are now fearing, the one who will make all the countries of the world tremble at the sound of my name. Even the Joker would cry. Do you understand who I am? And as someone who knows all this, I wouldn't have proof. If I happen to die, everything will be exposed.

Nick Fury cursed in his thoughts but said:

—  Okay, but you can't expect our help for nothing.

Herick said seriously:

—  Okay, my country will start supporting SHIELD. Put my hologram in the meeting room. I'm looking forward to our cooperation, Nick Fury. You're a friend everyone wants to have. Now, dismiss Natasha from SHIELD.

Nick Fury endured the humiliation and said:

—Agent Romanoff, thank you for your services over the years, but you are no longer needed. I will create a new Brazilian identity for you, remove you from the files, revoke your authority in SHIELD, and give you a bonus of 300 thousand dollars.

Natasha couldn't believe what had just happened. Tears were streaming down her face as she asked:

—  This isn't true, right Nick?

—  Unfortunately, I have no options. It's either you or the country, and SHIELD. Sacrifices are necessary, Natasha.

He hung up the phone, and Natasha grew angry. She wanted to throw the phone away, but a hand held onto hers and said:

Natasha was very upset and continued:

Herick embraced her and said:

Herick thought for a moment and spoke to the system in his mind:

She was referring to the fact that Nick Fury is not attracted to women and has a disorder in seeking control, just like the Joker, who has a beautiful woman by his side but only thinks about Batman. They both have serious issues.

Herick didn't understand what she meant, but he forcibly dragged her despite her protests, frightening all the household staff.

It frightened Natasha as well because she was much stronger than an average man. For the first time in her life, she felt terrified. She thought Herick would violate her.

Herick locked the door of the room, and when she was almost about to kill herself, he said:

—  I have a secret to tell you.

Natasha stopped stumbling over her words, cleared her throat, and said:

—  You're gay, but don't know how to admit it in your position?

Herick frowned and said:

—  What the hell are you talking about?

Natasha made a face that said, "I sympathize with you," and said:

—  You don't need to be afraid. It would be a remarkable milestone - the first openly gay president. You would be a direct representative of minorities. It's no wonder you never look twice at a woman.
