The Return

I had seriously underestimated how good it felt to not hide my bump anymore. It had been a week since the halloween party fiasco, and I was ready to get back to work. The November air on this Monday morning was crisp and cold, just the way I liked it. The perfect weather for going in to work and making some choices. 

After spending a week at home tying up loose ends and defending my husband online, I felt it was about time for the Greene Marks employees to see my face. Now more than ever, they needed a beacon of hope, and it was my mission to be that beacon. 

By now, our international offices had caught wind of the news and my inbox was full of concerned emails, along with my voice box. It was time to hold a press conference, and that would be the first thing I would tell Hugo to set up for me. 

"Good morning, Mrs. Greene. Welcome back," our receptionist greeted me with a smile. "Congratulations on your pregnancy reveal."
