Chapter 19: Talk Back

When Sarah happily chatting with Aaron, she felt her phone vibrate and rings. And when she look at her phone to see who, she was shocked that Josh was the one calling her. But before she accept it, she looks at Aaron. Aarn seems to know who's calling her so he just told her to accept the call, so Sarah did.

"Hello"

"Where are you?"

Sarah could feel that Josh's word is cold, it seem that he was mad that she goes out without telling him.

"I'm at the 24 hour store."

"Why go there?"

"I'm hungry so I came here since the restaurant down the lobby already close."

"And why didn't you tell me that you going out. Do you know what time it is? How can you be so reckless. Are you stupid!!"

Sarah didn't like that Josh is scolding her, she knows how dangerous it is for a girl like her going out this late but she isn't alone.

" For all I know Josh, you say it yourself that after we got here. Both of us should mind our own thing and no intefering with each other business.

Josh was mad at Sarah, he didn't like that Sarah didn't inform him that she was going out. But when he try to yell at her again, she just remind him about what he say before they got her. And when he heard what Sarah had told him, Josh became silent. He did tell her to mind their own business, and it seem that he was the one that did it.

Josh stay silence for a while but after that just turn off his phone. When Sarah didn't hear any respon from Josh, she was about to talk but before she talk. She heard the sound of click, Sarah frown. Did he just hang up on me, she thought. What a jerk she thought again.

"Was it your husband?". Even tought Aaron knows who's calling her but still... He wanted to know if Sarah trys to denied it or tell him that it is her husband. Sarah without saying anything just nod her head when Aaron ask. So they continue to talk until an hour later. Aaron send Sarah until they reach the hotel's lobby, both bid goodbye then Sarah goes to the elevator.

Aaron watch Sarah until she no longer appear, he like her but it's a shame that se was already someone else wife. Aaron turn around and walk home. Sarah whm reach the room, hesitate to open the door lock. She was afraid what will happen after she got back from the store, before she unlock the door she took a few deep breath then release it out.

And when she already want to unlock it, the door suddenly open, and she was shocked to see that Josh open the door suddenly. And look at her in the eye like a predator looking at his prey, she could feel the cold aura that Josh given her. Without waiting Sarah to go inside, Josh pulled her roughly.

Sarah hiss because she could feel that her wrist being held tight by Josh. When they reach the living room, Josh just push Sarah to the sofa hard. She couldn't believe that Josh could be this violent when his angry.

During the silence, Sarah adjust the way she seat until she feels comfortable while Josh just glare at her without saying anything. It remain just a few minutes of silence, until Josh ask Sarah again where she was and she answer the same as before.

"The next time you want to go out, you need to inform me."

Sarah who seem to be annoyed about it, suddenly blurt out

" I see that you can't even fulfill your own conditions about this. If you can go without telling me anything then why couldn't i also be like that"

Josh for the first time heard that Sarah begun to talk back at him. He glare at Sarah "What makes you think that you have the right to know where and whom i go with? It has nothing to do with you."

"I'm your wife, even though we married not because of our mutual feeling but at least you should respect me as your wife by telling me where you are. What do you think will happen if your dad called me and ask where you were? Do you think i know how to answer? Since i don't know about this place you think dad won't be suspicion?"

Josh stay silent for awhile and he thinks what Sarah said wasn't wrong, if his father would call on her to check how they both were. He knew that his father could easily detect that something is wrong if Sarah wouldn't know how to tell him.

Sarah whom still looking anxious at Josh still feels that she is afraid but she was shocked mostly about herself being able to talk back at him. She knew, what she said about it wasn't wrong, and she could tell that Josh knows it too.

She didn't want to make Mr.Alexander gets angry at Josh because she knows that everytime Mr.Alexander mad, Josh would always blame her for it. It's because his father trust her more that he trust his own son and Josh doesn't like that one bit. And if Josh gets angry with her, she would only have a headache by just heard hurtful word from Josh.

And hopefully, what happen today won't be repeat in the future. It is the first time that she talk back at Josh when his angry with her, and it almost took half of her courage to say it while looking at Josh.
