Chapter 11: If You Can

Sarah heart hurts a little, she really couldn't explain why Mr. Alexander help her with her father's debt and to tell you the truth. Her father's debt total almost reach to five hundred thousand, with just her payment for her part time job isn't enough. So the only way was to ask help from Mr. Alexander. Before she could even ask him, he already called her that day and ask her help. In return Mr. Alexander also will help her to pay all her father's debt. She was glad that Mr. Alexander help her and she also the type of person that return the help that she got from someone.

The sunddenly, she have an idea.. Crazy idea and didnt know whether its gonna work or not. Sarah said

"What would you do if i didn't agree about deal that you propose?"

Josh frown, he thinks that Sarah doesn't want to lose her source of money from them.

He was about to burst. But then Sarah said

" I promise your dad that i would be with you and never going to get divorced, for me once i made that promise. I would never break it."

"Really? And why?" Josh still doesn't believe Sarah. He still thinks that she is just doing for her own selfish thought.

"You say that you know woman like me, but do really know why i did what I did? Yes, Mr. Alexander help me pay all the debt but that wasn't mine. It was my father, I struggle to live since I was little. I never have any fancy things nor a good life because of what happen when my mother left us. Have you ever wish that you die, just leave this world behind?

Josh just stay silence and only look at Sarah, he could see that she wasn't lying about it and then she continue to talk...

"I really feel in debt towards Mr. Alexander which is why I agree to marry you. Believe me, if it wasn't about the debt that I own. I wouldn't wanna waste my life with getting marry when I'm still a university student. There's a lot of things that I want to do and enjoy. But things happen without we expecting it. So why don't we just live normal husband and wife life here. I promise you that I will fulfill my duties as your wife. Just give me a chance to get to know you for a bit. Can't we just do that?

After Sarah have stop talking, the room become silence again. She couldn't look Josh that's why she look down at the carpet, she is afraid that what she say doesn't bring any changes in both their marriage but she hopes that Josh could really see that all that she did wasn't because of trying to get their money or something but to pay the debt that she own.

While Josh after Sarah finish talking, kept think whether he could be less strict to her because the way she say and look at him straight in the eyes, she was being honest and truth about everything. Beside this is the request that his father ad as for her and because of feeling gratitude towards his father, she agrees to it. But then again he didn't want to give her any hope of being in love with him

All that he could think of right now is about the company, he does have time wit pleasure but now that he married. He couldn't do it with random woman anymore, he was afraid that even he try to hide it. The paparazzi would do anything to get information about what his daily activities is aside from working and meeting with new investment. And if he got caught not only that he will disgrace the family but also he will loses his position at the company.

Suddenly Josh said

"Alright then. As long as you can fulfill your duty as my wife, no matter in front of my Father or anyone then I can tolerant about us being husband and wife. But don't expect that i will give you a good treatment because after all I never like you and never will."

Suprise, Sarah look at Josh. She feels like a burden have lift up from her shoulder.

" Yes I know that."

" Well we're done here. Let's go and have breakfast, after that I'll send you back home."

Sarah just nod and both already walking toward the door and exit the room.

After the both have breakfast, Josh send Sarah back home and after that go straight to work. He still thinks that all of this is just a bad dream and he will wake up soon but how can you denied the reality of it.

Well just as she said, both of them can live life like a real husband and wife but he couldn't do that because he doesn't want to. He just hope to find another solution to get divorce, he really hope that.

He knows that right now, it might not look that Sarah doesn't have any feeling for him for now but eventually it will happen. But he will never change his mind, woman are like mermaid. Their beautiful but deadly, he is sure that Sarah will make him fall in love with her.
