Chapter 2

As a system, Xia Chanyie wasn't able to experience human's emotion and also pain. The sudden forced put him into a difficult position. A surprised novice experience invaded his body.

It hurts. It hurts. It really hurts.

It is unclear to him why he can't move his body. His whole body ached and he was dizzy. Tears fell down on his eyes, turning into sobs. The feeling is not good. He wished he could scream from the unknown pain, but even crying was too hard for him.

He stayed in the same position for minutes before the light suddenly turned on. Xia Chanyie could only hear footsteps behind him, but he couldn't see them.

It was unknown what happened after that. When Xia Chanyie opened his eyes again, he saw a white ceiling. The pain in his body was gone, but he was still exhausted. He looked around and saw the familiar face of the old butler.

Butler Den hurriedly moved forward and asked, "Child what do you feel?"

It was unusual for him to feel this way, what's more, with a child that he had known only for a day. But seeing the broken child laying motionless on the floor, Butler Den felt his heart crashed. The stair wasn't high, but for a child, the impact would be different. So, until now, he waited for the child to wake up.

Xia Chanyie frowned, "Where's my teddy?"

The silly little system doesn't really have the impulse of a human. The first thing he did after falling into unconscious was to ask for his missing doll.

Butler Den looked bewildered. He doesn't understand what the child is asking. "What is it again, child?"

Xia Chanyie remembers that the old man in front of him has an authority in the whole mansion. He lifted his chin, wanted to appear domineering. "Teddy is my bear. Can you find him?"

The little system had no social interaction with humans. For the first time waking up in this world, little Xia xia is actually scared, although he doesn't know what that is. The kind Dean gifted him a teddy bear that Xia Chanyie thought it was named, 'Teddy'. He liked it very much and now that he can't find it, he was naturally irritable.

Butler Den softened his face and pinched the chubby cheeks of the child, coaxing softly. "Don't worry, I will let the servants find your doll. Child, what's your name?"

"Xia Chanyie."

When his intention was finally obtained, Xia Chanyie turned to his usual self, emotionless and unbother. The butler Den asked him a few questions and he instantly gave his response.

Butler Den accompanied him for several hours and finally let him rest. He assigned a nurse to accompany a child before giving a call.

"Master, the child's health is in condition, aside from unable to walk for days, there isn't a problem."

The other line didn't give a response, which Butler Den didn't find unusual. He waited for a minute and wanted to hang up when Shen Jiangwen's voice sounded.

"Take care of him."

It took a long time for Butler Den to recover and comprehend what the master had said. He checked again, only to see that the line was already cut off.

Last night, it was the master who saw the child weakly on the ground and brought him to the hospital. Although, the master seemed normal, the old butler could still see that he was slightly nervous. It was the first time. Shen Jiangwen is always calm and collected, seeing him panic with an unknown child, Butler Den had no idea what to react.

Xia Chanyie stayed in the hospital for the whole week. His teddy bear that was lost was found by a servant in his bed. He was confused and told them that his teddy wasn't there, but the servant only smiles in response.

Xia Chanyie finally concluded that someone might be plotting against his back. But why would they want to kill him? He frowned and hugged the small doll in his arms. He was just a system responsible for supervising this world, where did the hatred come from?

The conclusion stayed in his head for a couple of days before realizing that maybe he is a bad system? Perhaps, ignoring the heroine put a debt in his head? But as a system, he was not allowed to have further interactions with the characters, or the butterfly effect would be triggered.

Thinking about this, Xia Chanyie's behavior became more robotic. His unintentional cold shoulder made the people around him aggrieved. They thought that the child was slowly warming up, only to be slapped by the recent fact.

Xia Chanyie counted the days and reviewed the plot line several times. At this point, the heroine should attract the attention of the cold master and slowly treat her differently.

"Young master, the food has been heated. Go eat now."

Xia Chanyie turned around and saw that the female nurse was arranging his meal. He remained motionless and let her do the job. Perhaps, tasting different foods made the little system's life colorful. After the nurse was done, she assisted him to eat.

Children around this age often throw a fit, and their tempers were usually unpredictable. But this young master was different. Nurse Feng had not seen him throw a tantrum in a week of serving him. With the face that was cute as a doll, the young master should be spoiled. However, this child was really different. She was once scared by the peculiarity of Xia Chanyie who seemed to not blinked his eyes for a minute.

He was such a beautiful child, he wasn't really abused in his home, right?

She knew that the background of the child was powerful, that's why she called him young master. But with such a background, why is the kid unresponsive?
