Chapter 11

Her father said nothing new except for the reminder that the Rhode family was coming for the engagement ceremony and that only a few days remaind.

On the day of the engagement, Nasir residence was lively as it could be, the place was filled with so much excitement you would mistakenly think it was a joyous a occasion. From the outside maybe it was but for Renata it was nothing but a nightmare.

She hardly had time for herself and after that day she could not even read the books that she took from the library but at least they were was sitting safely in Divya's storage ring. Everyone seemed happy about today except for her.

200 years ago, on this day she was also happy. She had felt her life would truly begin once she had married her childhood sweetheart. She thought, she was living a real life Cinderella story being whisked away by her Prince Charming in a white horse. A true fairytale but unfortunately for her it was the beginning of her nightmare.

True fairytales did not exist, she did not even dare to wish. Not even in this fantasy world she was living in. It probably would be worse, hence she came up with a plan but first she felt that she should observe her environment.

This world has been different in many ways; the occupation of her family, the system of the society and the overall outlook of things. Though the personalities have been the same or worse. She needed to see if the Rhode family was still the same as her past life or were they different.

If their motives were still the same as 200 years ago, she could use that in her plan. She still was not planning on being entangled with them but there was still this carrot dangling in front of her, that she had to 'save the Nasir family'.

One of the reasons for the decline was partly because of the Rhode family and some internal strife.
