Chapter 10

In a small bookshelf that had cobwebs on it, Renata found three books that lay there abandoned. She picked up the books and slowly removed the dust, interestingly enough all of them were untitled.

"Eldest young miss, those books are useless." Divya warned Renata, after a full day in the library Renata finally asked the housekeepers' name, after all it would be strange not to know the name of the person following her around.

She had a beautiful name and it truly situated her, she had a lot of positive energy. "Oh. Why is that?" She had not yet opened the the books, truly speaking there was nothing profound about them, the covers were dull and they were starting to wither since they were not cared for.

"It is said that those books are blank. Nothing is written in them." If that was true, it would make sense why they were left abandoned without any care but if they were truly useless wouldn't they be thrown away instead of being kept in a small bookshelf.

Renata pondered on this matter, before she could speak Divya gave an odd suggestion. "These books are not important no one would bother with them, why don't you take them to your room" Renata could not help but raise an eyebrow at this suggestion.

After all no one was allowed to take books from the library unless given permission by the elders. Those who were being specifically cultivated like her sister Julie, had this permission granted to them.

While she on the other hand; let alone having permission to take out a book, she did not even have a blue token to enter the library without assistance. Divya seeing her dilemma, took out her storage ring and quickly put the three books in them.

Renata might have been stuck in the Mortal Realm but she was certain, a housekeep should not have a a storage ring in their possession considering how expensive they were. Based on the colour it emitted, it was purple but she was not sure about the grade considering she was neither a craftsman and her realm was low.

Even with this discovery Renata chose to be quiet about it and followed Divya out of the library. They received some looks of displeasure and dissatisfaction from the members of the family.

You would think she had committed a great sin towards these people but either way it did not matter. Irrelevant people did not deserve attention.

"Your father wants to see you." Dorian stood in front of the library door waiting for her, the look of disgust was indistinguishable. Once again Renata could not help but want to laugh.

Truly she preferred her villainy ways over her daughter, she was more on the stupid side but than again if she was stupid that would make Renata nothing but a fool who fell for their tricks. Love really is a tool, to make one go blind.

How foolish, she thought to herself.
