Alyx Leonidus (Reonidasu Arikusu), also known as Amnesia (Kioku Sōshitsu), and his hero name, the Leonidus (Reonidasu), is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, where he got in through official recommendations and is training to become a Pro Hero.

APPEARANCE:

Alyx is a young man of average height with a rather muscular & toned build, and fair skin tone. He has brown, spiky hair that sticks out to the left, accompanied by a large strand of hair that protrudes from the front his hair. He has wide, ocean blue eyes with white pupils that appear lighter around the lower section of his irises. On his left eye, he has a scar that goes down to his cheek and right above his eyebrow.

At school, Alyx wears the traditional U.A. uniform with little to no changes. He neatly wears his school uniform much like most students at U.A. High. Sometimes, he doesn't wear the blazer provided to him.

His original hero costume was a full body suit, designed similar to All Might's, that wasn't flashy. It was black, blue, and white. It also had "Leonidus" written vertically on the front and a bright blue phoenix on his back.

Alyx's second hero costume added leg armor and arm guards. He also had a pouch attached to him to store his Quirk just in case he gets stuck in a rut.

Alyx's third costume was created and developed by both David & Melissa Shield. Similar to his fathers, it was a white and gold suit with the design of his Hanafuda earrings on the front and with a gold phoenix on the back. The gold on the suit was embossed and the suit itself allows Alyx to use his Quirk's full power without worrying about causing harm to himself, similar to All Might's.

In the winter months, nothing changed with Leonidus' hero suit besides added insulation inside of his suit, as he can control his body temperature thanks to his Quirk.

Leonidus' final costume is a designed to look like his previous ones, with the exception of the sleeves being designed to look like his Great Grandfather Tanjiro Kamado's checkered kimono, these sleeves are colored in a light blue and grey checkered pattern. He still keeps the pouch, alongside a holder for a matryoshka doll that Momo Yaoyorozu made him. On his right side, is a holster for his Nichirin Blade. The hero costume itself is stated to be "virtually indestructible" by Melissa Shield.

PERSONALITY:

Alyx is a very kindhearted, respectful, and caring person. Something he luckily kept with him after losing his memory. He often gets praise from his parents about his attitude towards life and other people. Although his Quirk was praised heavily by his peers and family, Alyx grew up with a very humble attitude. He hasn't ever truly hated anyone, as he sees no reason to get angry. Although once angered, it's nearly impossible to stop him. He has a very protective nature, even stating that he'd sacrifice himself to protect his classmates.

Once he arrived in Japan, he saved fellow U.A. High School Student Momo Yaoyorozu from a Giant Thug. Although he was scolded by his mother and father, All Might had praised the young man for his brave actions. Alyx's courageous spirit had started to reveal itself and proved to be very valiant for the future.

Once he arrived at U.A. High School, Alyx had made a quick impression on the other students. Alyx had quickly gained the trust and friendship of many of the students in Class 1-A, Eijiro Kirishima, Kyoka Jiro, Denki Kaminari, Izuku Midoriya, and Mina Ashido to just name a few. His personality seemingly paired especially well with Denki. He also has a very selfless mindset, constantly putting and worrying about the safety of others before his own. His selflessness puts him at a disadvantage, as he can bottle up his emotions, so that he doesn't worry any of his peers.

Although anger is not in his vocabulary, Alyx does have moments where he expresses his anger. It goes beyond that of Katsuki Bakugo's explosive nature, even causing concerned looks from him. Once angry, it's hard to stop Leonidus from calming down until whatever is in front of him is dealt with. He develops a more cockier, provoking attitude once angered, which is seen during the Paranormal Liberation War Arc where he smiled deviously after ripping Tomura Shigaraki's arm off using his mouth. He also mentions Tomura's past in a rather intrusive, insulting manner.

ABILITIES

Overall Abilities - Alyx has proven multiple times that he's a valiant and strong-willed fighter. During the Quirk Apprehension Test, he earned 2nd place with his impressive skills, and he finished 4th during the U.A. Sports Festival after taking a full power Detroit Smash from Izuku Midoriya.

During the U.S.J. Incident, Alyx managed to kick straight through the U.S.J. Nomu's arm with relative ease. During the Sports Festival, he outsmarted Hanta Sero and even matched One For All at 100% for a brief moment using Boost Fire: Times 100 on top of the Base Mode of his Quirk. Shota Aizawa even notes how he's never seen a Quirk like Alyx's before, and many Pro Heroes share the same thought.

Once Alyx had reached Overdrive: Gear One, his abilities increased dramatically. He rivaled the strength and speed of One For All at 15%. In Gear Two, Leonidus can easily output as much strength as One For All at 30%, he even stands off against Nine with very few difficulties until Nine unveiled his full power. When in Gear Three, he was able to significantly injure Ernesh, someone who destroyed half of Japan singlehandedly, and presumably took on the likes of high-ranking, powerful Pro Heroes in Mabel Leonidus' timeline. Once he reached Gear Four, Leonidus was able to one shot Kuwahara with a Carving Star Blast after using it at full power. Gear Five allowed him to hold up a 10 story apartment complex.

Enhanced Strength & Durability - Due to prior training with his Quirk back in America, Alyx's body is incredibly durable, he's able to stand toe to toe with Eijiro Kirishima's Red Riot: Unbreakable technique. His strength was also proven to be well beyond average as he was able to throw Shota Aizawa over his shoulder without the use of his Quirk. He's also able to lift over 3,628 kg (8,000 lbs) while in his Mode One variant of his Overdrive Quirk. He was able to also hold up the weight of a 10 story apartment complex by himself.

Extreme Willpower - Alyx Leonidus has shown that he's capable of pushing through almost any obstacle that's in his way. During his fight with All For One, Alyx seemingly was down and out, only to rise back to his feet and use his Quirk's full power once more. He managed to fight off the League of Villains after being fatally injured for a short while.

Genius Intellect - Although it might not seem like it at first, Alyx possess an S-ranked intelligence, meaning that he can be classified as a genius. This level of intellect, combined with his vast knowledge of combat, proves to be very useful. He's never caught off guard, the only two people who have managed to do so were Momo Yaoyorozu and Ochako Uraraka. Although he doesn't like teaching, his skills are quite excellent as he taught Ochako hand-to-hand combat and taught Sota Hirose how to control his Quirk.

During the Sports Festival, Alyx was able to correctly find and pinpoint Hanta Sero's habits and used that knowledge to quickly eliminate him from the tournament. His strategies in battle vary depending on the size and skill of the opponent, but nonetheless, he's never not thinking of ways to end a fight. While in their Second Year during a Heroes Vs. Villains exercise, Momo Yaoyorozu & Alyx Leonidus had managed to outlast the team of Shoto Todoroki & Izuku Midoriya using their combined intelligence.

During the End of Term Test, Alyx Leonidus somehow outsmarts Shota Aizawa by hiding in an abandoned home and blinding him with a flashlight.

Language Ability - Not only is Alyx able to speak English, he can fluently speak Japanese, something that luckily stuck with him after his memory loss. Alyx often helps the other students and teaches them English, although he primarily speaks Japanese to avoid having to teach it. He's also been shown to understand the Spanish language.

Musical Talent - Unbeknownst to himself and his classmates, Alyx can sing quite well. He also can play the guitar, being retaught by Kyoka Jiro after he lost his memory.

QUIRK:

Overdrive (Ōbādoraibu) - Alyx's Quirk envelopes him in a violet-blue aura that allows him to boost his strength, speed, and basic human senses. His Quirk works in a system like set up, where he can scale his Quirk up to 5 Gears. The higher the Gear, the stronger & faster Alyx becomes. Once Alyx overuses his Quirk, his arms and legs lock up, and he coughs up blood. Alyx has unlocked an entirely new form, Overdrive: Gear Six, after his fight with Izuku Midoriya during his Third-Year at U.A. He also renamed them back to "Gears" during the Third Year Sports Festival.

Alyx, before losing his memory, was exceptionally trained on the applications of his Quirk. It gives him the ability of flight, telepathy, healing, and he's able to distinguish people by sensing their "Heat Energy", a residual energy unique to each person that he comes into contact with. Alyx is only able to sense Heat Energy and use Telepathy if he's touched someone with his Quirk.

Alyx has stood off against the likes of All For One, Nine, and Tomura Shigaraki and gave them a run for their money. He also took on the League of Villains single-handedly, killed Gigantomachia, and deflected a high speed shot from Arlen Vibraine. Alyx has also held his own against Neito Monoma during the Joint Training Battle and outsmarted Momo Yaoyorozu and Shota Aizawa in battle.

During his training at the forest lodge, he held his Quirk for as long as he could, allowing himself to use it for longer periods of time. Alyx eventually trained himself to the point where he no longer had much of a time restriction on his Quirk.

Rage (Ikari) - Although not used often, Alyx's Rage Quirk possesses immense strength. His secondary Quirk allows him to endure pain and attacks that should injure or even kill him. Up to 6 shadowy arms can burst out of his back, depending on how angry he gets. These arms can be used to climb quickly or propel himself long distances or to deliver devastating attacks to his opponents.

During the Second Year Sports Festival, Izuku Midoriya helped Alyx reawaken his Quirk. From there, he took a shot from Izuku's One For All: Full Cowling, 100%, and was still standing after the blow.

Leonidus used his Rage Quirk on top of his Overdrive Quirk to successfully stop a 250,000 ton cargo ship.

TEMPORARY QUIRKs:

One For All (Wan Fō Ōru) - Transferred to him by Izuku Midoriya, One For All gave Alyx access to the stockpile of enormous raw power, boosting his abilities ten fold. This proved to be a deadly combination with his Overdrive Quirk.

All For One (Ōru Fō Wan) - After being possessed by All For One himself, Leonidus was given access to the All For One Quirk.

SUPER MOVES:

Overdrive Fist (Ōbādoraibuken) - Alyx generates an overwhelming amount of Overdrive onto either of his arms and hits the opponent with extreme force. The first time he used this was when he saved Momo Yaoyorozu from a Giant Thug.

Stardust Shoot (Sutā Dasutoshūto) - Alyx brings his Overdrive into his fingertips to launches beams of it from them. These can either pierce through an opponent or act like miniature fists, dealing exceptional damage from long range. He first used this technique against the Nomu at the forest lodge.

Diamond Buster (Daiyamondo Basutā) - This move is a huge ball of Overdrive that Alyx can use at either long or short range. It explodes on contact and can render the target unconscious or injured. This was first used against All For One.

Dorarara Rush (Dorarara Rasshu) - Alyx strikes at high speeds, allowing him to strike his opponent hundreds of times within seconds. This attack was first used against Tomura Shigaraki during the Paranormal Liberation Raid.

Flash Cannon (Furasshu Kyanon) - Alyx creates a baseball sized ball of Overdrive that acts as a detonation move. By opening his closed fists, it triggers the detonation. The attack was first developed during Class 1-A's Super Move Training class.

Counter Burst (Kauntā Bāsuto) - This move allows Alyx to counter almost any oncoming attacks and deflect them back to the user. This attack was first used against the Nomu at the forest lodge.

Phoenix Dance (Fenikkusu Dansu) - This attack is Alyx's second most powerful move in his arsenal. He creates a huge Phoenix out of his Overdrive. This wave of pure energy practically disintegrates those that aren't fully pure hearted. This can be done solo or with multiple people. If done by itself, Alyx instantly overuses his Quirk and is rendered immobile. This move was first used against a Quirk Enhanced Kariya Leonidus during Alyx and Momo's winter internship.

Overdrive Bomb (Ōbādoraibu Bakudan) - Directly using a move from a manga, Alyx uses his own energy to create a gigantic ball of light. This attack is Alyx's most powerful one, only those who are immortal or lucky enough can withstand the sheer overwhelming power of the Overdrive Bomb.

FIGHTING STYLE (SWORD):

Water Breathing (Mizu no Kokyū): Taught to him by Tanjiro Kamado, his Great Grandfather and former Demon Slayer. The Water Breathing combat style mimics the element of water, specifically the flow and flexibility of water, and infuses it with the users swordsmanship.

First Form: Water Surface Slash (Ichi no Kata: Minamo Giri) - The swordsman generates enough momentum to create a powerful single concentrated slash.

Second Form: Water Wheel (Ni no Kata: Mizu Guruma) - The swordsman leaps and vertically spins forward in the air while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion.

Third Form: Flowing Dance (San no Kata: Ryūryū Mai) - The swordsman swings his blade at his opponent in a way that mimics the movement of waves on the surface of water.

Fourth Form: Striking Tide (Shi no Kata: Uchishio) - The swordsman makes multiple consecutive slashes while twisting their body in a flowing fashion similar to a harsh tide.

Fifth Form: Blessed Rain After the Drought (Go no Kata: Kanten no Jiu) - A "sword strike of kindness" that kills the target with little to no pain. Used when the enemy surrenders.

Sixth Form: Whirlpool (Roku no Kata: Nejire Uzu) - The swordsman fiercely twists his upper and lower body, creating a whirlpool that cuts anything caught in it.

Seventh Form: Piercing Rain Drop (Shichi no Hata: Shizuku Hamon Tsuki): - A fast and accurate stab. The fastest Water Breathing technique.

Eighth Form: Waterfall Basin (Hachi no Kata: Takitsubo) - The swordsman cuts the target vertically.

Ninth Form: Splashing Water Flow (Ku no Kata: Suiryū Shibuki) - Minimizes the landing time and surface needed when landing, allowing the user to move without limits. Ideal when fighting in a place with no solid foothold.

Tenth Form: Constant Flux (Jū no Kata: Seisei Ruten) - The most powerful Water Breathing technique. A continuous flowing attack which takes a form of a water dragon that increases in strength and power with each rotation.

Eleventh Form: Jetting Water Geyser (Jū Ichi no Kata: Funshutsusui no Kanketsusen) - A defensive technique used as a means of retreat against bigger threats and the current creation of Alyx Leonidus. Alyx holds his katana close to him and spins around in a circle, generating more speed, creating a barrier around him. This can be easily broken if he loses concentration or if his katana falls.

Flower Breathing (Hana no Kokyū) - Taught to him by Kanao Tsuyuri, his Great Grandmother and former Demon Slayer. A Breathing Style derived from the Water Breathing Style. The Flower Breathing is a combination of graceful attacks named after flowers and fruits that optimize the users agility and flexibility with the blade and themselves. This Breathing Style also enhances one's vision, albeit at the possible cost of their eyesight.

Second Form: Honorable Shadow Plum (Ni no Kata: Mikage Ume) - A defensive techniques that deflects attacks using rotating sword slashes.

Fourth Form: Crimson Hanagoromo (Shi no Kata: Beni Hanagoromo) - A single sword slash that curves and twists.

Fifth Form: Peonies of Futility (Go no Kata: Ada no Shakuyaku) - A graceful flurry of nine consecutive attacks that flow and weave in on themselves.

Sixth Form: Whirling Peach (Roku no Kata: Uzumomo) - A technique used after or during evasion, the user spins around moving with their body weight to deliver an attack.

Final Form: Equinoctial Vermilion Eye (Tsui no Kata: Higan Shugan) - A focusing technique that raises the users kinetic vision to its maximum, while using this technique the user perceives the world as if it were in slow motion. Usage of the technique however is highly dangerous, as the tremendous strain caused to the eyes ruptured blood vessels and could cause partial or complete blindness.

OTHER ABILITIES/TECHNIQUES:

Demon Form/Blood Demon Art - Due to being blood related to Tanjiro & Nezuko Kamado, thanks to genetics, Alyx is able to use a similar form to what his Great Aunt Nezuko took. He grows a horn on the left side of his forehead, claws, superhuman speed and agility, regeneration, and enhanced strength. He's also able to shrink or grow in size, much like Nezuko, and also has the same Blood Demon Art ability as her, which is called Fire Manipulation. A technique that he also shares with her is called Exploding Blood (Bakketsu).

Boost Fire (Būsuto Faia) - This technique is an energy multiplier that allows Alyx to push himself further. Using it with his Overdrive Quirk, it doubles his power, or by how much ever he multiplies it by. Boost Fire can be multiplied by 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, 99, and 100. This was first used against Izuku Midoriya during the 1st Year U.A. Sports Festival.

Infinite Mode (Infinitto Mōdo) - Infinite Mode is an extremely powerful technique that Alyx has in his arsenal. It allows Alyx to use his Quirk's maximum power without any repercussions. Before his Quirk was awoken, if he activated Infinite Mode subconsciously, he could dodge attacks perfectly. But once he regains consciousness, that dodging ability lessen and is replaced by incredible power. After having his Quirk awoken, his Infinite Mode allows him to dodge attacks effortlessly and counter with tremendous power.

EQUIPMENT

The Overdrive Pouch: Created by Mei Hatsume, it gives Alyx a place to store his Overdrive on his hero suit. It can be attached to any article of clothing and is practically impenetrable.

Nichirin Blade: His Great Grandfather Tanjiro bestowed upon him a Nichirin Blade after teaching him the Water Breathing style. Mei Hatsume created an attachment that allows him to hang his scabbard on his hero suit if needed.

Knee & Arm Pads: Also created by Mei Hatsume, it protects his arms and legs from injury. This was further improved upon by David Shield.

Bamboo Gag: Only used in his Demon Form, this Bamboo Gag dispenses Lavender Tea at intervals of 10 seconds to keep him calm. This was created by Momo Yaoyorozu.

TRIVIA

- Alyx's original Quirk concept was going to be "Super Saiyan."

-In early drafts of the character, he was going to originally be very clueless, taking things that weren't literal literally and he would have eventually been confused with Momo's hints of love.

-His original costume design was going to be similar to Mashiro Ojiro's and Izuku Midoriya's.

-According to Alyx's Volume 1 Profile:

+His favorite foods are Yakitori and Onigiri, being introduced to them by Izuku Midoriya and Momo Yaoyorozu.

+A irrational fear of his is the Vocaloid software voicebank Hatsune Miku, which is later revealed that it was because his friend, Sheyenne Cortez, dared him to pose with an animatronic version of the software.

-Regarding Alyx's academic life and performance, his U.A. data is as follows.

+ Student No. 21 in Class 1-A

+ Was recommended to U.A.

+ Ranked 2nd during the Quirk Apprehension Test.

+Alyx had received 5,351 nominations at the U.A. Sports Festival for his performance, despite finishing in 4th place, making him the most nominated Class 1-A student.

-Scored 100 in the Provisional Hero License Exam.

-Alyx's surname contains the kanji that means "expose one's faults" or "extract information from a source." Referencing not only the doubts he has about himself, but his time with the League of Villains. It also contains the kanji for "bamboo raft" (reoni) and "starting fire" (dasu). His given name contains "existence" (ari) and "in high spirits" (kkusu).

-Katsuki Bakugo gave him the nickname, "Amnesia," (Kioku sōshitsu) after hearing Denki Kaminari talk about his memory loss.
