We'd just finished questioning the other surviving victim, a woman who had been brainwashed into killing her kids.
She'd initially been arrested for murder, while insisting that she didn't remember a thing, suddenly finding herself with blood on her hands and her kids' corpses laying in front of her, before the two in clown masks informed her of what they made her do.
The police only treated her as a victim instead of a murderer after the other incidents began springing up, and finally took her seriously. But they hadn't fully cleared her of suspicion, which is understandable.
