The Otherworldly

Haise is a teenage boy who received a certain book from a mysterious old lady. The book contains the words of the stories about the Imprisoned World and the fate of every people mentioned within it and all the events that will occur in the future. After saving a little girl from getting hit by a raging car and faced his unfortunate fate, Haise suddenly found himself in a different world as a baby vampire. However, the story will not focused on that. Instead, this story is about a side-chapter, named Haise, who transmigrated back to his original world, a young man who aspire to live a normal life, but fate just won't let him be! ___ Author here: This one is a fantasy but has a realistic event in every scenario with slow pace. You'll get what I mean once you read the complete primary chapters of the story. Pardon in advance if you might find it boring in the beginning, but that was just the way it is to introduce the plot to the main arc. And by the way, since I'm a fan of anime, Final Fantasy, and Hoyoverse/Mihoyo, there will be, of course, some references from those in this Fan-fic novel.

Chapter 3: "Preparations"

At the place where green grasses were dancing freely with the wind; a place where still under the gaze of the full moon; there, a young man with messy jet-black hair mysteriously appeared, out of the blue. He was holding a huge and beautiful cat that can be said that its features did look like a fluffy meat ball because of the size of its body. And this young man that appeared out of the blue, needless to say, is Haise.

From afar, huge trees with no leaves can be seen around, seemingly stood as its huge roots holds the earth with history.

Haise wandered his gaze around, analyzing his surroundings. He then stared at the cat and poked its cheek, but it didn't give any signs of reactions and was just resting.

Out of many places, why did Haise choose such a lonely place? Simple, Haise knew those he sensed from the shadows will soon come to chase him, after making an assumption that the cat was their actual target. Also, he didn't want to endanger the people in a potential quest he must settled down to be able to witness the sun again. And to counter them, he needs an effective plan to fight them with wits involved... after all, he was not as strong as he was reincarnated to another world. He was just a quasi-vampire, who was limited by his human body.

'I need some enhantcements.' He thought, imagining his dream peaceful and ordinary life would become impossible in his reach. 'Yeah, at least the basic foundations will do.' He thought after remembering his state.

'Hmm... now let's see.' Haise began to sort all the magical abilities he could use in his mind as fast as he could: abilities that will not affect the flame of life that was blazing lively in him.

'Oh yeah! I can try magic then create some effective spells afterwards.'

'As long as I don't use those powers, I'll be fine.'

He held the cat tightly yet gently with his only left hand. And then, lifted his palm (facing upward) at the same level of his chest and stand-up at the most relax stance.

The place was far enough to buy some time for the seekers to find him. Haise just felt the mana that flows within him, slowly reinforcing his body.

He stayed in that position for over half an hour. The mana did successfully manifest as a form of life energy, but it took him a while to successfully cladded his body with it. And through that, he tried to establish a mana-centre, to which he failed.

Haise then quickly made another option to rely on his exsancthuar more to which it gladly acknowledges to be use of him.

'As expected, the exsancthuar always rejects any form of 'force' that would endanger my life.' Wondering about that, Haise grin softly, feeling grateful to a certain being that could be said responsible for messing up his life.

Few minutes later, pure mana was already emitting and cladded, significantly, throughout his body. It was latent, but powerful enough to block any form of any form of magical energy, but not strong enough to last by blocking the strong one.

A spherical barrier that looked like a bobble appeared upon his palm, indicating a successful outcome.

"....."

With his mental strength he possesses, he changed the shape of the barrier into shard that could penetrate a tree. And to make it more effectively—

'Now for the primologial affinity.'

In terms of magic and even through the power of exsancthuar, there are five basic foundations that he must learn and meditate to move forward for any survival situation;

The first one is 'enhancement' which Haise already established and reinforced within himself by letting and guiding his mana flow throughout his body, slowly, strengthening any fibers and cells of his body. With the little mutation occurred in his body due to his soul and exsancthuar, the process was smooth.

The second one is 'conjuration' where casters can shape mana though their will, imagination, and wits. This certain basic foundation requires great will, imagination, and wits so that the spell, technique, or even an intent may become more effective. This also help the 'enhancement' to process more effectively and significantly.

The third one is 'manipulation' (literally about controlling or manipulating). This basic foundation is technically the cup of all the basic foundations. This greatly help the 'conjuration' to process more effectively. And just like 'conjuration', this required great wits and imagination, but 'will' dominates further.

The fourth one is 'transmutation' where casters change the property of their mana. Through magic-spells, this can shape into offensive and defensive spells. And if casters had reached higher grounds, they could use more phenomenal magic that can even bend the reality. This basic foundation also relevant to 'creation'.

And lastly, the fifth one is 'emission'. It is the final release of all the basic foundations. This one is responsible for charging and discharging mana. Requirements: must learn all the basic foundations.

...

'Right now, I cannot fully use the power of Vilzial and can only use a very small portion of it. I guess, I can only try.'

'Fortunately, I managed to establish all the basic foundations, but I still need to work and have to be careful about the 'final release'.'

Haise began to concentrate again. Soon, the wind around him became odd by slowly becoming violent. It was not that strong, but still the magical energy was intimidating enough to give off a heavy pressure to his surroundings.

Primologia is an energy and a form of matter that represents the life of the world or the world itself, and it's divided into seven: Geo, Pyro, Hydro, Dendro, Cryo, Electro, and finally Anemo.

Among the seven primologial affinity, Haise chose the anemo. The reason why, simply because in the field of magic, the anemo-magic is significantly representing 'control' the most. And to effectively create spells and merge it to his skills, involving sword-techniques and martial arts, he decided to choose it to not only avoid him from getting a huge negative aftermath, but also for its convenience to use.

Haise inwardly smiled in satisfaction and thought: 'Finally! with this, I can process my plan, effectively.'

The bari-shard ("bari" a prefix for the things he reshaped that was completely made of his barrier-magic) upon his was now emitting an anemo-energy, which made Haise quite satisfied.

'What a tough night I'll be having tonight. It should be a nice dinner, not this!'

Haise began to process his plan by setting traps through his magic-spells and conjured some bari-tools he could use to destruct his opponents. He even conjured a bari-bag-pack, with the same texture as the actual bag, big enough for the cat.

After setting his traps upon specific area, Haise stood-up from the ground and wandered his gaze around with his eyes glowing bright red behind eyeglasses and long bangs.

'They're here.'
