Chapter 79

Alex received a call as soon as he got into his office. Checking his phone to see who the caller was, he decided to answer the call since he had fifteen more minutes before his meeting "Hello"

He rounded the table to sit on his chair behind the wide table "Alright then. I will let you know the venue and time"

He then turned to look at Arnold who had entered whilst he was on the phone. "Good morning, Mr. Ford" Arnold greeted

"Good morning, Arnold" came Alex's majestic voice "How does my schedule look like from around 5:00 pm today?

"It's free, Sir" answered Arnold

After finding out about his schedule, Alex decided to meet up with the previous caller at 6:00 pm "Please book a private room for me at the city clubhouse for 6:00 pm for two"

Arnold agreed with a promise to do that as soon as he left Mr. Ford's office. Alex then stretched out his hand towards Arnold to which he responded by placing one of the files he was holding on the table.

"This contains the information of the project that is to be returned by the Almond group. Most of the information centers around the companies and countries that they have worked with for the past one year, but much is being withheld" Arnold explained the content of the file he had placed on the table

Alex smirked a little as if understanding the game that the Almonds were playing. "Who sent the file over?" he asked patiently

"It was sent over by the Chairman's secretary; Mr. Titus"

"They were really beginning to get on his last nerve," Alex thought to himself. He wondered what was so important in the file they had to drive to his company just to hand over this garbage.

"Was any message delivered along with it?"

"Not any that I know of. The file was left with the reception at the front desk saying that it should be handed over to you, Sir"

The more Alex listened, the more he calculated better ways to deal with the Almond group. They took his patience and calmness as weakness. They forgot that he was a ticking time bomb when angered.

"What are the other two files you are holding?" Alex asked while pointing towards Alex's hands

"One of the two files contains the report from the factory that is dealing with the cosmetic brand that would launch in two months" Arnold explained while placing it on the table for Alex to look through.

"And why is it in my office and not the Creative and Product development department?" inquired Alex

Arnold made it known to Alex that he thought it should be seen by him before going down to the Creative and Product development department.

"Have it sent over to Director Eliot and ask him to go through it with the department heads. I will have a meeting with them probably by the end of the week, and have them report everything to me"

"Ok, Sir. This last file is for the meeting that you are heading to. It has the proposal to be discussed and also the financial breakdown"

Alex nodded in understanding. "Come in" he answered the person who was knocking at his door.

In came Arnold's assistant Ms. Marina who was organizing the meeting room. She greeted Mr. Ford before going ahead to inform him that everyone was already in the meeting room.

Alex nodded at her and then stood up to head to the meeting room. He needed to handle it as soon as possible to meet up with both Cross and Daniel.

Daniel was going to feel him in on his previous trip to the neighboring, and Cross on the mission from the night before.
